I wouldn't count Jonathan martin out...he can play. He was in a horrible situation in Miami...now he's got a chance to prove himself and I think he'll do that. Harbaugh wouldn't have brought him to SF if he didn't think he could play...

I think people who have automatically come to negative conclusions about Jonathan Martin are going to be surprised. He was a first round pick for a reason and some people simply can't perform their best when they're surrounded by psychopaths who are trying to tear them down.

Good list. Have a hard time with your selection of Jon Baldwin because I think Ellington is going to be special. He is already generating more buzz in minicamps and OTA's than Baldwin did in almost a full season with the Niners. Then again, if the Niners keep 6 WR's, it could be down to Baldwin, Osgood (...for his ST ability only) and Lloyd. Can't wait to see how this roster takes shape in the next 6 weeks.

Man, ya'll really got worked up over Lemonier, huh? Just my opinion watching him... I don't like stats... I'm purely an "eye test" person. Just didn't impress me... maybe he doesn't suck, but I think you are all going to be calling for him to hit the bench by Week 3.

I'm interested to see what Chris Cook does at CB now that he is playing in a good defense and in a better football environment.

Actually, I thought you were messing around just to get folks all riled up (was kinda funny).
Perhaps we will be calling for him to get off the bench if he isn't out there already playing

This too. Lots of examples of decent CB's come here and suddenly they flourish.

agree,, put cook in that list as well.. people around here dog them, cherry pick videos of them playing poorly means nothing to me. so far they have done nothing in a niner uniform to make me hate them. it did not cost us much to take a chance on them we could get two pleasant surprises out of the deal. as crake said, the culture and climate in our locker room is much better than where martin came from and probably cook to

Huh, 6 pages and no mention of Carradine? He should top the list then. I'm calling 7+ sacks for the year.

This is only for players not to forget or underestimate. Carradine tearing s**t up is a guarantee.

There is so much talent on this team. after reading all the posts it's even more evident that this training camp will be one for the books.
Personally, I really would like to see 3 TE sets w/VD Carrier and Vance.
I think Wilhoit and Skuta will be VERY impressive.
I'd like to see Morris return punts and KO.
3 guys who came on very strong at the end of last season and who I feel are going to light it up are Brooks, TJE, Dorsey. I think Brooks will make this a statement season, TJE got better in every game and Dorsey is in a contract year.
I also think Jimmy Ward will make a big impact.
