We talked about predictions in this thread and it was cool that while I was just watching NFLN, they covered what I did with VD when Crabtree came back (last 8 games).
Without Crabtree (remember, VD was used mostly as a WR last year when Crabree was out), the production was:
38 receptions for 626 yards and 9 TD's (over 10 games).
With Crabtree back in the lineup (last 8 games):
19 ctches for 281 yards and 6 TD's. That's a huge drop off averaging just over 2 catches and only 35 yards a game.
This coaching staff HAS to find a way to get away from the reliance on JUST 1 or 2 receivers (any combination) and keep VD heavily involved and add in the next layer of weapons such as McDonald, Johnson, Patton, Carrier, Ellington and lean on the RB's in the passing game who ALL have the potential to be absolutely dynamic/electric in Gore (always clutch), Hyde, Hunter, James, Lattimore and Miller!
