there are quite a few I considered , so many great players ....but the big fish that got away from us was "Reggie White" ...when talk was circulating that he MIGHT sign with us, I was beyond excited and couldn't wait to see the huge impact he was going to make rushing the passer for us ...but sadly he chose the Packers, denying us a shot at seeing one of the greatest of all time in maroon & gold .. another reason why I hate the Packers so much
what about you guys?

All of them where we didn't have a future HoF'er at the position.

Bo Jackson (though not a hall of famer) would have been awesome in a NIner uniiform and maybe he doesnt get hurt (if he doesnt get hurt I dont think any one questions that) he goes down as one of the alltime greats! I love him at that size with that spped and stregth. I wish he played for us instead of across the bay.

ray lewis. that draft pick baltimore used on him was acquired when they were still in cleveland and moved up to get jj stokes in 1995. it cost us the 96 1st rounder among others and that 96 1st rounder was lewis.

Aeneas Williams. ARI selected him 6 picks after the 49ers selected LB John Johnson (who?). He might have helped contain MIrvin/AHarper to get the 49ers over the nfccg hump. Then he goes on to plaster Steve Young and bad things happen.

Reggie White.
We heavily pursued him as a FA in the early 90's. We were actually considered the favorites to sign him, but he chose GB and the rest is history. Would have LOVED to see that monster in a 49er uniform.

Although I can't stand the guy: Ray Lewis. He was the pick the Niners traded in order to move up & take JJ Stokes a year prior.
Whoops! Someone beat me to it.

Well, Gio Caramazzi was available so you can understand why they would overlook a hometown boy like Brady.

My picks are already taken. Ray Lewis or Tom Brady. If we take Brady, the dynasty probably never dies.

Future HOFer Aaron Rodgers, but FO chose to go for future second rounders instead.
