I wanted to see how the board would accept the trade of VD. If we had any other G.M. I wouldn't be ok with this, but blaake is a trading gosu.

I wouldn't mind. With the recent slew of acquisitioned recievers and a healthy crabtree, don't expect the team to rely as much on davis to make catches. His diva holding out b******t is too much. Sell to the texans for their inevitable high 1st rounder

Why trade him?
He is either going to retire, or play this year.

Retire??? He is not retiring, he is promoting his brand. What is his brand if he retires? Curling?

Everything is for sale. It depends on the price, though.

No.
Maybe for a 1st rounder, but nobody will give that up for a 30-year old TE.

Absolutely not. The 49ers are in SB or bust mode, VD is an elite TE who blocks like an OL which is huge for a run first team. This situation isn't ideal, but it's being blown out of proportion. VD will either get an extension, or he'll simply show up to TC because he's not going to take a $30K/day fine. At the end of the day, he'll be one of our biggest weapons & all will be forgotten.

We've been trying to win a superbowl for the last few years. VD is the second highest paid player on the team, making 7.3 million, he's in the top 5 of pay for tightends, and now he wants even more money... When does it stop, we've known his whole career that the only thing important to him, is himself, and clearly money. No one job is safe, not even Vd's. Trent isn't happy about Vd, and boone being distractions.
Besides the Redskins have all there picks for next season, and the one after that. We know Dan Snyder loves to make big moves and sign massive contracts. If any other profession you didn't show to work and demand more money, you be ignored and than fired.
