Thanks NC. A lot to consider this year, and first thing we need to do is keep STs solid. I'm hoping for some young guys to step up but those wily vets keep making the team for a reason! LOL!
INJURIES, real and imagined, will help to clarify the situation. Just hope for minor and few!

DeUh, I like your 53 man roster but I'd replace Gabbert with Johnson not saying that's what the coaches will do though. Hopefully we can replace Alphonso Smith with Lattimore on that list. If not I just keep 3. You spelled Lloyd wrong if you care. Some people want to be corrected others don't so just pointing it out. Not sure if you put those guys in order as well but Dial might pass up TJE and Ellington passes up Patton. I'd also put Ellington over James as #1 PR/KR.

Dial had a few good plays that stood out but TJE not really standing out at all but I havent broke anything down this year. Ellington is doing what Patton was suppose to do before injured last year. No doubt he is above Patton right now plus he looks like he should take over as the #1 PR/KR which is another advantage over Patton who dances too much as a returner. Maybe Acker can push Morris for the last CB spot. He will be a tough cut as he has a lot of potential and is a threat to take it to the house with the ball in his hands on any INT or if we decide to make him a PR/KR down the road. I just can't wait for the regular season and cut some of this dead wood we have. It all starts with the backup QBs though that is the main reason the team minus the #1's have looked so bad. We should be watching the waiver wire waiting for a QB to get cut. That or trade for one... we need to draft a QB in round 2 or 3 next year that Harbaugh likes and let him develop him. Harbaugh is messing around with other peoples broken toys when he should be picking out a brand new one and molding it.

Yea Ellington has shown he should be starting kr/pr. I think a team will pluck Acker off the practice squad. It's hard to evaluate the corners when they are playing so far off. I understand not showing everything but they need to compete.

I guess we can just go into the season with one QB and hope for the best. No reason to waste a roster spot on any of our current backup QB's. Can use that on someone that will benefit the team.

Pre-kick off roster updated: http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/178494-pre-camp-53-roster-prediction/page30/#post439
Changes after I watched the game.
OT: JMartin in, Bykowski out. Still like Bykowski´s development a lot but I´m sold on JMartin as our backup now.
Depth chart moves: Lloyd over Johnson, Ellington over Patton, Dial over TJE.
Returner: I dont think that we will have 6 WR active on game day (Crabtree, Boldin, Lloyd, Johnson and Osgood are game day locks IMHO, so for now I keep James as our #1 returner. But after this season he can pack his bag and gtfo. Ellington is for real !

Per Adam Schefter: "By next week, NFL is expected to increase size of practice squads to 10 players from 8, per source. So 64 more jobs."
I wish they would increase roster sizes as well.

really well done bro. I like it a lot.
Things I would change..
I would take out LJ McCray for Kenneth Acker on the 53 man roster. And put McCray on the PS.
My gut tells me Cook will make the team, as well. IDK how tho.

That's good news too bad they will probably mess with the 16 game schedule to have to increase the roster sizes. Whats the big deal if we have 55/56 or 53 players? It would help out a ton. That and that stupid inactive rule. It's so every team has the same amount of players playing going into the game but really how often is a team down 7 players? Can't it just be 3 or 4 inactive on game days? It's really hurting those bubble roster guys allowing them to not be able to play. They barely made the team how do you expect them to stick with a team when they are inactive every week?
Side note I actually think Ellington is making a case to be the #4 ahead of Lloyd right now. Patton is last but ahead of Osgood if kept who will still be active for special teams if kept. Patton will likely be inactive if we keep 7. I don't know is Lloyd worth keeping as the #5 guy if Ellington continues to impress? I think he can have value but the way our offense works we hardly ever use more than 3 wrs and I really hate taking away reps from Ellington and Patton who are part of the future. Then again we seem to have 2-3 injured WRs a year so maybe having 7 isn't such a bad idea. Then again if you cut Lloyd you could probably sign him if there is a injury but would he swallow his pride and come back? Would someone else sign him before because he did turn down multiple offers.
