We promise the kid he'll have a chance to compete, and then we sign MBT, and shove him out of the way before training camp barely gets started. Now he has to find another team, learn a whole new playbook and probably will never get another chance at the NFL.
or maybe he sucks, so it is his fault

I still see them signing him to the PS before season starts.
Yes that is still a possibility. I'm thinking though, McBLT beat him out for that last spot. Too bad, he was an interesting story going into TC.

the example of faulkner is a reason we need a developmental league. every year, there are a few guys with the potential to be starting qbs down the line if they had time to develop a nfl game. it would improve nfl play for an handful of poorer performing teams if these guys were seasoned and available. so many training camp situations are one-and-done; it's a waste.

Agree. NFL teams could then have something like a farm system for QBs. 2 or 3 QB on the active roster, and then a few more on a d-league affiliate. The NFL could probably develop a lot more quality QBs this way. Right now there are hardly any good backups. Most are complete trash, and it primarily has to do with limited reps and patience to develop.

Yeah. One of the articles said it was unusual to carry 5 QB's on a 90 man squad. Too bad for Kory, he just couldn't catch up to the more polished QB's. I'm wondering if seadderall will give him a try.
Why would Seattle want him? Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson, Terrelle Pryor, and BJ Daniels are all better than this kid. Plus Seattle had Keith Price on their roster already and cut him and he's a better QB also. Time for Faulkner to start putting in applications at Jiffy Lube or start selling insurance, his NFL time is over.

Bring back the USFL! The USFL gave us QBs like Steve Young and Jim Kelly.

Well maybe, but like the other poster said, he might come back. I don't know if McBLT is still eligible for the practice squad this year. If he's not, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kory back.Originally posted by Travisty13:Originally posted by Giedi:Originally posted by steiber:In order to get cut at this point, he must have shown nothing.

Aside from the new USFL what's the chance of the practice squad numbers increasing?

Good question. Might be something to consider in the future, but it would have to be negotiated in the next CBA.
