Does anyone knows if this guy is recovering from any injuries or any reason why he's not at the OTAs? Just wish he's there to learn the new defensive scheme if he's not injured. I know most of the guys that didn't show up for the OTAs are either injured or proven vets, not a second year player thats supposed to play a big role on our defense. Just curious!
Lots of players don't got to voluntary mini camp and workout separately. It's really not a huge deal at this point in the OTAs.
I totally understand that but since it's a new defensive scheme, it'll be a good thing to be on the same page with everyone else and create chemistry with your teammates. The more they practice together now during OTAs the easier they mesh together during TC and in season, and it'll allow the coaches to install more plays before the start of the season.
Brooks and Boone worked out on their own last season but yet showed up out of shape. If you work out on your own without anybody's watch or supervision, you tend to slack and not push yourself to the best of your ability. Just a thought!
