He catches with his body... big pet peeve of mine.
That was always Josh Morgans downfall... and the difference between Vernon Davis and Jimmy Graham.
Its an aspect of the game I never really paid attention to until we drafted Crabtree... thats a true receiver right there.
Ball Skills-2-Appears to have natural hands and rarely allows ball into frame. Plucks on the run without breaking stride. Above-average body control and adjusts well to throws outside of the strike zone. Easy track of ball over his shoulder.
Strong hands; snatches the ball out of the air, can make catches with arms extended away from his body

Bursts off the line. Eliminates cushion and threatens vertically. Field-fast -- accelerates in a hurry and turns over a fluid stride. Highly athletic. Excellent balance and agility. Gets in and out of cuts quickly. Good hands.
Best attribute is his body control and hand-eye coordination when the ball is in the air. Shows the ability to contort his body to adjust and possesses very natural hands and a surprisingly wide catch radius to extend and pluck. Can track over either shoulder, as well as turn back and time his leap well to out-jump taller, bigger defenders.
1. "The things Ellington has going for him are the things that are not teachable...Possesses rare hand-eye coordination and body control...Tracks the ball well and uses his hands to catch...Wins jump balls despite his 'short' stature."
He is also a tremendous competitor that flashes natural hands.
