Bruce Ellington is not a 49er!

Yeah, both just rolled their ankles a bit...but are fine according to Harbaugh.

keep an eye on this: the cardinals drafted their own ellington-type in john brown. he's real good; maybe better than t.y. hilton. very likely could have a better year than ellington. he's a playmaker, and we see him 2x year.

Who is throwing him the ball?

Jalen Saunders, John Brown . . how about Paul Richardson? Is he going to be better too? The grass always seems greener on the other side of the fence.

no, you're reading too much into this. i'd take ellington over all those guys, but they're all close.

think about this: there are a few things ellington can do as a replacement for hunter. he's got the size, strength, and athleticism to work out of the backfield on a few, choice formations and be effective in that situation.
i hope roman can think a little outside the box on this.

How is Brown an Ellington type? Outside of both being fast and not tall they don't have much in common. Bruce has like 20 lbs on Brown. He may turn out to be a big deep threat guy but Ellington is much more physical and is a lot more versatile.

"Type" as in quick slot guy, returner, good raw skills that will get them on the field.
