I've said this before but Johnson had 3 1000+ yard seasons with Ryan Fitzpatrick playing QB. RYAN FITZPATRICK! He only dropped off when EJ Manuel took over at QB!
If Kap comes back from Camp Warner with even half the skills he DIDN'T have last season, Stevie Johnson will be worth keeping, even if Crabtree stays. Johnson has proven he can get open if the QB is willing to look and throw it to him. He doesn't need great speed. He plays more like Boldin - just put the ball in his area and he will grab it.
But somehow Kap got Boldin two 1000 yard seasons for the first time in a while. Did Flacco not understand when Boldin was open. Stevie's problem was more so that he had an OC that couldn't get him on the field enough IMO. Kap has his faults but he can get guys the ball. Ask Boldin! We just need to get Stevie on the field more
Bold in is a different kinda beast tho. We call remember him taking that helmet to helmet hit from Ryan Clark when we played Washington and not only did he hold on to the ball, he got YAC and Clark was concussed. Basically what I'm saYin is that Boldin makes a lot of catches in traffic. Not tryna take anything away tho. Let Crab walk if he must, extend SJ and start him with Boldin.
