1) Aldon might not be there.
2) Our secondary might be a little raw.
That being said, our depth is insane, and we have tons more firepower on offense than we had last season.
Bowman won't be there. We do now have with a new C Stevie Johnson Hyde and Lattimorw an unscouted brand new offense potentially. We should shock the sh** out of Dallas the first week of the season

I just need to make sure I temper my enthusiasm when we do. After week one last year I thought Kap had taken that step and it was on and we were about to destroy the NFL.

I know we will be better prepared for Romo's scrambling/extending of plays because we practice against one of the best running QBs in the game. Last time we played the GIRLS, Alex was our QB, and he wasnt necessarily a scrambling QB, unless it was to the right sideline to throw one away. So I doubt he was testing our defense in practice as far as being an evasive target/slippery scrambler such as Romo. But anyways please win NINERS! I made a bet with my Brother in Law who is a huge Cowgirls fan, whoevers team wins, we have to sport the opposing teams Jersey every Sunday for the rest of the regular season.
Think about those 49ers teams the Cowboys played. It's not an accurate comparison to look at last game. Even though it was 2011, but that team hadn't found it's legs yet. We should beat them by at least 10.

At least DAL had DeMarcus Ware then. DAL has NO defense now

I don't expect the 9ers beat every team, but I don't think there's any team that they don't have a really good chance of beating. I do completely agree with your points about Aldon and the secondary (and someone else mentioned Bowman being out). That's why I also agree with the people who said it could turn into a shootout. The Dallas offense is capable of putting up a lot of points, but their defense is likely to be one of the weaker ones the 9ers play this year. If the 9ers secondary will have already gotten their act together, then it could be a blowout by the 9ers. If the secondary struggles, it's likely to turn into a shootout.

Yes Dallas can put up points on the board, but this niner defense will hold their own. People question this secondary but I think people might be surprised on how good our secondary can be. Our front 7 will rock the socks out of every team we

Play this coming season. Later on when Aldon and bowman rejoin the wolf pack, it will be all over for the rest of the league. This niner team will be raising that Super Bowl trophy when all is said and done.

Man... to sit anywhere near the bench on the visitors side is running $1,400 and up. And field level seats start out at $350... -_- wife ain't gonna be happy about this at all.

They want almost $200 to stand in their "party space" aka the parking lot to watch a big tv. No thanks, I'll watch it at home with the windows open blasting my surround sound so I can annoy all of my cowboy fan neighbors.

Dallas should be a great indicator for our offense, to see if our passing game has improved but as someone mentioned we came out strong against GB last season and things didn't work out so well after that. It will be a great test for our cornerbacks as well. If Brock is on Bryant all day we get to see what he's made of. Then we have Chicago next week with Marshal. Then Arizona with Fitz and Floyd. They also added Ginn, a new 6-6 TE and a speedster John Brown in the draft. Then Philadelphia after that. Hopefully Jordan Mathews wont catch fire in the NFL right away. Without Aldon and Bowman putting pressure things could get ugly. First 7 games before the bye are pretty rough.

That's a good point actually. That kind of evens it out at those respective positions. We are loaded everywhere else.

Harbaugh is undefeated in season openers, and he lost to the Cowboys on what possibly could be Tony Romo's best game. Now we have Kaep and a vastly improved offense. The Cowboys usually play well in the beginning of the season, but we're too good.
Vegas has us as a -4.5 away favorite. On a neutral field that's a TD. Since the NFL is a league of parody, it wouldn't surprise me if the game was close, but it would surprise me if we lost.

also...
the only other road favorites for week 1 are:
NE (-3.5) at MIA
CAR (-1.5) at TB
I'd say DAL is better than either of those teams, so that should be a good indication of how Vegas ranks the 49ers...
