We aren't gonna shut out Dallas, but we can hang half a hundred on them. Cully does better against bigger receivers, wont shut Dez down but he wont have to... he's just gotta play like he does against megatron on the outside.

Yeah, we'll win. it will be close... why? Well, because when we're up by a couple of TDs, Harbs / Roman will let go of the gas and allow them to catch up... it's what they do

As much as we may hate it, that strategy has led to 36 regular season wins in 3 years.

Not too worried. Last year we went a few weeks without Aldon and Willis, and still played very good defense. Skuta and Lemonier showed last year they can rotate in and be effective at OLB. Willis is still the best ILB in the game imo. He will keep things from falling apart in the middle.

We have a new strong safety, but he's a grizzled vet. Bethea knows what he's doing. Not worried about him.

Brock and Culliver as full-time starters is a question mark, but there is reason for optimism. Brock was without question our best cover corner last year. Culliver was our best cover corner in 2012 (sans SB, of course). If these dudes play up to their ability, we've upgraded our CB coverage ability imo.

I've also got a great feeling about Ward playing the slot. He's going to be dynamic.

As of today, 49ers are -6. The total is 50 1/2 (over or under)...

The new rules lean toward offensive scoring and Cowboys have a bunch of bodies on defense (just bodies and some of which are nobodies).

The over 50 1/2 seems like the obvious choice......
We are so lucky we get to start our season against the Cowboys, and Bears. We're gonna be a rolling tide of improvement each week, nothing ever pretty, but we'll get hot at the right time.

That's when it's going to matter most... get out from the bye week and bum rush whatever team is in the way, especially in the division.

"I'm thinking about Dallas and I think most guys in here are," Smith said. "Good tune-up and we're ready to go."
