I am almost positive this is a no money guaranteed type of deal. There's no way you guarantee money to a 33 year old WR that wasn't even playing last season. If so, it's not a low risk move, it's a no risk move.

I agree. With all the legal issues this offseason, I think the 49ers are keeping their options open to drafting possible additional QB, LB and CB players. Brandon Lloyd is insurance. I don't think he makes the team if all the legal issues are cleared up before regular season begins.
