Minus Whitner, Rogers and Alex: Collectively Dumber Team?

In the last two seasons, we basically lost the most articulate and intelligent veteran players on the team in Donte Whitner, Carlos Rogers and Alex Smith. Is there anyone who can step up and replace the leadership and brains that they provided? In light of Culliver, Kaepernick and Aldon Smith's recent transgressions, I think it's really important that veterans provide a steadying influence for the rookies or the whole team could come unraveled in 2014.
