It's been the last game of the pre season for as long as i can remember. Are the Niners the only NFC team to only play the AFC or is it every one? I'm not liking this pre season schedule but oh well it's just pre season.

the only game that jumps out is the baltimore one and we wouldnt have it if we still had the raiders as a regular opponent. a lot of team have their teams they play every preseason so when the raiders got eliminated we were going to get stuck with a team that wasnt very close
2 teams that play with in driving distance from each other and the NFL takes it away so we play at Baltimore thanks Goddell. And thanks to the fans who got in fights and stabbings in the parking lot to cause this.
guessing we lose the Balt game and prob the Denver game then pick up the other two.

I don't like doing too well in the preseasons. reminds me of when those were the only games we would win

well to be fair, IIRC, when the raiders moved back to Oakland in '95 the Niners didn't play them in the preseason for like 5 years, but that's prob cos DeBartolo and Al Davis hated each other lol

Yeah the at BAL is also in week 1 so that's like 80(?) players traveling (no cuts yet). I guess the NFL wants cool sub stories to open the pre-season (Jim vs John).

I wouldn't put it past Jim and John to take advantage of their relationship and scrimmage prior to the pre-season game. That means the 49ers will have to go there early, but why not? If it benefits both teams to scrimmage against each other, I hope they do so.

Besides, John Harbaugh is one of the best defensive back coaches in the league, in my opinion. I can see where Jim would use that opportunity to tune any new defenses Fangio develops in the offseason. Single high safety and press man - anybody? I mean if there is a coach out there that has the expertise to stress test a single high safety philosophy or press man, it would be Jhon Harbaugh.

I can tell you those preseason games against the Broncos and Chargers we can lose by a combined 100 points and I wouldn't give one s**t. In the words of d******d Sherman those will be a glorified practice since we play those teams again in the regular season.

at BAL? That sounds like an unnecessary 'long' flight for a large roster of players.

its preseason, who cares

DeBartolo owns Davis, may he RIP, it's so stupid they play so close to each other and the NFL takes it away cause of drunken fans.
The only game i want us to see the niner's COMPLETELY turn into dust is the Ravens...
the..... bitterness is still there.
YES! At Houston, that's a shot road trip for me.
I could be wrong, but did Jed specifically request to stop scheduling SF/OAK in the preseason?

Regardless, those "fans" were absolute morons.

Unfortunately our brethren are to blame as well... There are some real dumb*sses that follow our team

Hopefully the new stadium will have a positive effect on it!

Yeah a lot of them involved were 49er fans. It makes me miss the days when going to the Stick was a family friendly atmosphere.

The Indianapolis game was also an ugly episode with two Niner fans getting into a fight in the stands.

Agreed 100% with the second line!
I'm bummed ...I thought they would have played the Vikings in Minneapolis this pre-season , only a 3 hour drive from me

Oh well ..looks like I'll just save up a bit and fly out for a 49ers home game again this year
They should have joint practices with Baltimore leading up to 1st game. Make use of that stupidly long preseason trip.
Hope we go 0-4
