How often do you get a Super Bowl rematch the very next season? It's happening! The only other possibility is Sf/sea and the nfl won't put sf back to back sunday nighters
Did you not see in 2012 SF @ NE then SF @ SEA? Back to back Sunday notes plus this will be a Thur then a Sun

To be the opponent in their home opener is a suicide mission. Have we forgotten how we've gotten basically blown out, and peppered with injuries when we go up there?! VD's concussions, Delanie's broken jaw, Ian Williams ankle, Iupati's knee, Bowman's leg?!?! Rememeber?!?!
I swear only a homer could have such confidence.
Dude we have to play up there at some point in the season. Might as well get it over with in week 1. You guys are acting like vaginas. Have some confidence.

How often do the Super Bowl winners come back dominant the next year?
Not really. Reality is, it'll be hard to win that game in Seattle without Bowman, and who knows what our secondary will look like. Losing the first game of the season will be a tough blow to our momentum. I think whoever wins that game ends up winning the division.

The upside to winning far outweighs any downside to losing. This team is mentally tough and a week 1 loss to seattle wouldn't be the end of the world. This team has been faced with a ton of adversity in the last few years and has bounced back just fine. I doubt we would lose anyways.

there's a difference between giving up on a game and not "doubting we would lose" in a situation where we've lost a whole lot

They can't defend what we do best. The only reason we lost that game is because we got away from it towards the end.

That 2nd game was flexed. Trust me man. The Niners will not play 2 games on the same network in back to back weeks to start the season.
