A mistake? Learn from what, being an piece of sh*t? What he said at the SB was a mistake. This is a whole other level of stupidity.

This. What makes someone think that running away is the appropriate response in that situation? Pull your ass over, go check on the other person like a decent human being would, call an ambulance if necessary, call the police, if they cite you for driving like a dumbass, then take your medicine and deal with it. Instead he acted like a total ass and made a relatively minor situation into something far, far worse. It takes a special level of potato to do that.
Although that is the obvious answer, this dumba$$ is driving around on a suspended license per the report. I don't understand how professional athletes allow sh!t to fall apart in their lives when they have so much support with organization, agents, PR people... etc. A complete EPIC fail all the way around this report! I don't see the 9ers keeping him as it sounds like off the field dude is a hot mess! These good ol boys from the south cannot come to California and bring their lifestyles here.... it won't fly, especially in San Jose. That is a complete DB move and interested to see how this plays out. Can't really root for dude though unless he straightens out his life off the field!

I didn't know they were illegal. They are perfectly legal where I live. And they are much less dangerous than a baseball bat. It's ridiculous that they are illegal in CA.Originally posted by Oregon49erfan:Originally posted by maxsmart:Breaking News!
It turns out the bicyclist ran into the side of his car and Cully didn't think he had to stop. Then when some crazy person followed him honking his horn Cully stopped and confronted the guy to ask wtf? Who knew brass knuckles were illegal? Why are brass knuckles illegal but baseball bats and knives are OK. ?
Just proposing this scenario because we don't know all the particulars until we hear the other side of the story.
Brass knuckles have been illegal in CA for decades. Since before Cully was born. So there is NO excuse... And there is NEVER an excuse for hit and run! I am fine with the league suspending him for a year. what an idiot! Draft a CB in rd 1 and 2 please!
"Brass knuckles are illegal in California, Michigan, Illinois, and Vermont. . . . They are legal in the other states."

Oh, I agree the law is stupid for sure. Right along with a ton of other CA laws. But it is what it is. His car is more dangerous too... especially with him behind the wheel apparently. He will likely do some jail time for this one. 3 felonies.... 2 hit n run, plus the weapons charge. not smart at all.

Verrett and Desir...TB might have to trade up a few slots to get Jason, but plenty of picks to corral Desir. Obviously Culliver has some issues. First it was the homosexual blurt, now this. Not good. Hit & run's serious stuff.

Exactly, we cheer them on and worship them like heroes for trying their best to kill each other on the field.
Then we act surprised when a young testosterone filled man who grew up in the ghetto, trains daily to try and defeat other men, takes testosterone boosting supplements, etc does something stupid?
Heck, Ray Lewis was an accomplice to murder and they're gonna put him directly into the HOF.
It was a really stupid thing he did, but people should temper their judgment a bit until the entire story emerges
