Best Draft

1994, dat draft put us in SB and over the hump thru 90's.. I liked 1986 in a bargain basement since of things. Traded down and got a lot of depth type players cheaper than it wudda been to reach. and dey didnt havta play rite away, so we let them marinate and all those guys contributed to the 1988-89 SB's.

Anytime you get 8 yes EIGHT Starters from a single DRAFT, it has to be considered a SMASH!!!!
In 1981 they draft 3 of their starting defensive backfield, including a HOFamer. 1986 was plain ridiculous (there were like 7 or 8 starters, and mostly good to great ones) ... that may be the best draft of any team in history. The Walsh draft years were things of beauty.

When the discussion comes up this time of year, the 49ers 1986 draft class is usually ranked right up there with some of the best in league history.

The Steelers' 74 class has to be #1 though. 4 Hall of Fame inductees in one class will never be done again . . . unless you're one of the many Hawk fans who insists it happens to their team every year.
