lol, just sayin!
Same line the Ravens fans were using on John Harbaugh as entered year 5 I'm sure.
Fair point, but luckily the Ravens weren't in the best division in all of football. 49ers are, and our rivals are the god damn champs, we gotta get significantly better in order to keep up. We seem like the same team, if not worse!
They didn't even have the best team or roster in 2012. They got hot and got lucky (they shouldn't have even gotten past Denver), so sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for teams winning or not winning it all. And of course, one lucky break here or there in that SB, and that title would've been ours.
And I definitely don't see us being worse. Kap in his second full season with both Boldin AND Crabby, a more experienced Patton/McDonald to go along with Vernon and a likely high pick or two to strengthen the secondary along with the 2nd year of Reid and the veteran Bethea. Gore and Hunter in their contract years along with the "rookie" Lattimore, a deeper rotation at NT with both Dorsey and Williams (and maybe Dial) and Lemonier with more experience, strength and confidence.
But the most important factor, and I believe this very strongly, is the team wanting to win this for Gore. Seems clear that this is Frank's last year here, and I can see this team pulling together like never before to win a title for the greatest RB in team history. You just can't underestimate how critical it is for a team to be able to rally around the goal of sending their captain off with a Super Bowl title.
Do it for Frankie!
