But he can do it, seriously, in the preseason he lit up dudes that are working at Starbucks right now!
Yea I know folks are upset and going overboard. And I'm probably doing the same in other threads. But in this case you gotta be outta you mind to want Gabbert in the game. That takes out the read option runs. One of the only things on offense that Niners can do well and keep defenses guessing somewhat. Take that outta of the playbbook and Gabbert will be eaten alive behind this o line.

I would personally give Keap this weekend, if the guy shows nothing, then it's time to make a change.. I'd put Gabbert in with the minimum of 2 games and see what he can do with the offense..

I agree that Blaine probably isn't the better of the two options. I think the more important question to ask is whether Collin is on the roster next season.

Kaepernick has too many female fans behind him to ever get the "we want Carr/Gabbertt" treatment. They defend him like no other.

And Kaep sucked against them, so what's your point?

Just like it was "JT O Sullivan's time to shine", "David Carr's time to shine", "Troy Smith's time to shine."
People never learn.
Personally I never liked those guys. I was team Alex through and through. When they asked for Carr it was because the team was bad. But Smith early on never had the talent around him that Kaepernick does. He'll Jennings was his LT and Harris was his RT...
Just Turn Overs was during Smiths injury year. And Troy Smith = Kaepernick but with s**ttier talent around him. Good arm, mobile, can throw on the run, sucks in the pocket
Also Gabbert looked good in PS and in his relief of Kaep last year. Carr never looked good

As bad as kap is, and he's attrocious, a born loser is probably the best way to describe the content of his character, you can't put in gabbert... Gabbert? This is the guy that isn't as good as kap, can't beat a born loser to a roster spot. Think about that.
No you need to draft a qb next year. Doesn't matter what pick you get, there will be a stable of winners left to choose from, and then we can trot kap out the back, put a sheet over him and end all of our collective miseries.

I dont really think the oline is as bad as its being made out to be. They were terrible in the pre-season but we have done with worse in the past. Apparently people dont remember chilo or jonathon martin. The first 3 games have been average nfl caliber protection. At times great. 3-5 times a game the line has been blown up bad but thats really not to be unexpected or above average for an nfl team.
Gabberts release is quicker than kaps. There is no reason he would do any worse from a physical standpoint unless he got happy feet. All physical aspects actually point to him doing better with his quicker release.

The oline seems fine, kap could have had a coffee and a fap in the pocket before passing on Sunday, he just inexplicably chose to pass to the opposition dbs.

I seriously think kap needs more time than any other qb and because of this the sf o line is criticized which is so unfair. Just watch Carson Palmer in that game, the balls just gone as soon as he gets it, he could play with no oline whatsoever. Kap sits back there like "hmm aww, I dunno... That db is giving me the stink eye, hmm ... What's over there" and then when the d finally breaks through he acts like he's shocked and flees in terror. Hes just a farcical human being. I seriously wonder what his actual iq is, I bet it's the lowest of any qb.

Seemed as good as the cards o line. Maybe they both suck, but more significantly, kap sucks and Palmer doesn't.

Born loser? Explain.
