I'm still concerned til we see how they look as a unit on the field. But I like the pick. I can see them getting a CB and maybe taking a flyer on Colvin. today

Was never concerned. In fact, I saw much more versatility even before the Ward pick (which adds even more versatility). Fangio is going to have a field day calling press coverage, off-coverage, single-high S and blitz packages with Bethea, Ward, Brock and Culliver.

Let's take a look at the roster:
Corners
1-Brock, Tramaine: CB, 5-10, 197, 25, 5yrs (I have liked everythign I have seen from this kid when he is on the field. He might press to start)
2-Cook, Chris: CB, 6-2, 212, 27, 5yrs (Not sold. He has the prototypical size to play the seattle style of football. Maybe Min. Used him wrong. We shall see. He's as interesting as any draft pick and we have resurrected other guys careers.)
3-Cox, Perrish, CB, 6-0, 198, 27, 4rs (I actually really like Cox. He is very solid when he comes in. He will likely remain in his depth role and playing special teams.)
4-Culliver, Chris: CB, 6-0, 199, 25, 4yrs (this kid is special. If he could quit being a meathead off the field....but the truth is he can play and will press to start.)
5-Morris, Darryl, CB, 5-10, 188, 23, 2yrs (To be honest I think we need to keep our eye on this kid. 23 with upside. a good reason not to have taken a corner in rd. 2 or 3. You don't have to be huge to be a success at corner. Darrel Green anyone? It's the only reason he went undrafted and he made the team. He's good depth at the least, he might suprise one day if given a shot)
6-Swanson, Dax, CB, 5-11, 191, 23 1 (not small, not slow. Likely a camp body.)
7- Ward, Jimmie, DB, 5-10, 193, 22, R (Not entirely sure where this guy will play? Might he suprise and lock down the SS slot? Not likely. Consider this though. I think Reid could easily move to the SS. I think Ward will get looks at the FS position as well.)
8- Wright, Eric, CB, 5-10, 200, 28, 8yrs (he's no slouch and good depth.)
Safties
1-Reid, Eric, S, 6-1, 213, 22, 2yrs (nuff said)
2-Dahl, Craig, S, 6-1, 212, 28, 7rs (solid depth/backup/ST)
3-Spillman, C.J., S, 6-0, 199, 28, 6yrs (great at ST. Good depth. Could he push at FS?)
4-Ventrone, Bubba, S, 5-10, 200, 31 9 (ST all the way)
5-Bethea, AntoineS5-1120629 9
Ward makes more and more sense as you have a kid who might be able to swing a safety roll. Dahl Mght become expendable? Ventrone and SPilman will need to outlast young guns on special teams.
Bottom Line-We have starters on the roster in Brock and Culliver and we are counting on that being true. The other vets will get a shot as well. It will be an interesting year but I think we drafted our starters a couple years back to fill in for Rogers and Brown.
