Why not? The Niners won a Super Bowl with two rookie corners and a rookie safety. In fact that secondary was the best in the league that year with 3 rookies and a second-year starter.
Great point. Also worth noting, Cully, Brock, and now Reid are all veterans - younger vets, but vets nonetheless. And if Whitner is back, even better, that's solid veteran presence. As mentioned above, I'm not sure why we NEED to replace Rogers with another over the hill CB...these guys don't need babysitting. I'm perfectly fine with embracing a youth movement.
I wouldn't say it's a great point. The game is nothing like it used to be when we won the Super Bowl with rookies in the backfield. It is a passing league now. It wasn't then.
