Deliberate move. Seattle and AFC champ has to practice against those plays next week. Haven't you guys learned Harbaugh's tactics by now? LOL

My heart stopped on the Boldin pass once I saw the coverage. It was an unnecessary risk but as they say, hindsight is 20/20. Had Boldin thrown a TD, everyone on these boards (myself included) would have been praising it as a stroke of genius.
The fake punt though......whatever. The game was already over, and think we just ran it for the hell of it. Although, and to our credit, it would have worked if Phil Dawson didn't have the arm strength of a newborn baby.

Harbaugh and Roman typically call one cute/trick play per game. They did the Staley pass against Arizona right? Then the week before that they did that weird handoff to Anquan who ran up the middle on 2nd and goal right?
I guess I get the philosophy, try to keep them guessing and try to catch them off guard. Its cool when it works and it sucks when it fails. I'm pretty sure its something we should get used to.. Harbaugh likes those plays.
As to the punt, I think that was just an opportunistic play. They were leaving the gunners wide open with only 4 yards to go, a better pass and it would have been an easy 1st down.. maybe even a TD if Osgood chose to run it in.

I would have loved to see Lee complete the pass and us get the first and then down it for Game, Set, Match on their dumbasses for not covering the gunners, so yeah, it pissed me off that Lee didn't put more effort into finishing that play

If nothing else, it gave the Seahawks another thing to worry about the next time Boldin or Frank gets the ball in the backfield

The Boldin play was really covered. He should not have thrown it. The Lee pass was pathetic.... There is a reason he is the punter and not a QB.

Lee has made that throw before, well a similar thing.... I think it was 2011 against the Rams.. or maybe last year?? On a FG they had Crabtree lazily get off the field but in truth he was just slowly going out there and lined up as a WR. Snapped it, threw the ball... Crabtree walked in for an easy TD. At least, I think it was Crabs.
Edit: oops sorry, I just looked... it was Akers who threw it.

I believe so. I think he was recruited to Florida State as a QB before converting to WR.

I think so, and he passed the ball out of bounds. He saw the coverage too and didn't force it. What is everyone so uptight about?

I don't remember the Anquan Boldin down and distance situation, but I felt it was executed decently and didn't kill us with a sack or interception.
The Andy Lee pass attempt was smart. Haters think it was unclassy, but it was a good move. If we convert, we run a kneeldown play, have almost 0% chance of injury and finish the game. Since we didn't convert, the Panthers ran 3 plays in desperation. They conceivably could've pulled off a miracle TD, miracle onside-kick, and miracle hail mary (highly unlikely). And in those 3 plays, there's a chance someone could've gotten injured.
I mean, how would we have felt if during one of those 3 plays, Navorro Bowman got his ankle rolled up in a pile?
