Why don't we create more turnovers in big games?

I think the bend but don't break mentality has actually hurt us. Yeah, our defense will take us far, but to win it all we need those game changing plays, whether or not we have to take more chances. Remember Harrison's pick 6 against Arizona? Had Arizona scored there instead of it going 100 yards the other way for 6, they'd be holding a sb trophy.

Bad post on several levels.
In the big picture, getting a stop and receiving the ball with worse field position is a better choice than gambling on defense and risking a big play when the gamble fails.
Getting the ball with worse field position also allows us to possess the ball longer, keep it away from the opposing offense, while also resting our defense.

In games where the offense has trouble staying on the field...this eventually hurts the defense as they get tired and wear down.
Teams also play more conservatively against good defenses.

This isn't rocket science.

My fav part of that was the walk off.

The sad thing is, Whitner would be flagged for that now.

Thank you. My mistake.
So, why would you post this before the game even starts? Ridiculous timing, don't you think?

Especially since the Niners intercept Cam on the first series..........
