RP, as a GB fan, what's your take on the weather and if it gives an advantage to either team?
Obviously the Pack are more used to the cold, though not THIS cold, but their game is far more dependant on the passing game and a just returning Rodgers and Cobb who may both be impacted by the cold more than healthy players.
Whereas the Niners are more of balanced, run first team with the better D, but aren't used to anything close to this weather and if our secondary with some questionable hammys is a half step slow because of the cold, Rodgers can find the open man as well as anyone.
So whose does the weather help/hurt most, if anyone?

SFO has the better team under normal conditions. Brutal cold helps GB. The thing none of us know is how much. Does it mean the niners win by three instead of 20? Does it mean you guys fumble and drop passes and allow Rodgers to take over the game... None of us know... This is the NFL and anything can happen. Records mean nothing now. In 2010 we were a 9-7 team that won the SB with a hot QB... If Kaep has his usual game against GB you should win.... GB is playing on house money but you know how pesky those cinderellas can be:)

Yep. Nearly every year recently there's a team that squeaks into the playoffs and goes on a huge roll. 07 Giants, 08 Cardinals, 10 Packers, 11 Giants, 12 Ravens. I wouldn't put it past an Aaron Rodgers led team to do it again. I just hope it doesn't happen this year against the Niners .

I thought it was more like 0 feels like -18. Still freeze your balls cold, but not quite as awful. Where did you see -19 with -40 wind chill?

The House money thing is a joke just to make the GB fans feel better. GB expected to be in the playoffs, they are in and got their QB back. They get a home game, lets see what they can do with it.

This is my first post on this site. Living here in Wisconsin I don't think the weather will benefit either team. The media here would say otherwise. But I don't agree

I can't believe I'm the only one who thinks this matchup is a perfect storm of worst case scenarios. They just happened to get Rodgers AND Cobb back just in time to HOST a playoff game in record temps? AND our CB and the guy who was supposed to replace him are both hurt? I'm not confident.

Wright isn't hurt. He fully practiced today, and having Rogers sit on the bench probably makes the team better.

Nobody expected them to be in the playoffs a few weeks ago. Our IR list includes:
Our starting LT, CB, RB, TE, OLB and numerous second stringers. Our OLB and TE are pro bowl caliber players. Numerous second stringers are on IR and both our remaining OLB'ers are hurt. If GB loses nobody here will be too upset because after thanksgiving we thought we'd be looking at a top 10 draft pick. Besides the injuries we have a completely rudderless defense and special teams… That's house money.

"According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the bad forecast for Green Bay's game against the 49ers got worse. According to AccuWeather, the high will be minus-five degrees, the low will be minus-20 and the wind chill will be ... MINUS-51 DEGREES."

In terms of players that I think will perform well in the cold I'd take Guys like Boldin , J. Smith and Willis over anyone on the packers. I think the cold storyline has overshadowed the storyline from week one which applies even more in the cold and that's the packers are a "soft" team particularly with Jolly and Mathews out.

At some point, isn't that just dangerous to play in?
