ILB- Patrick Willis (7th Pro Bowl)
OLB- Ahmad Brooks (1st Pro Bowl)

Congrats to Patrick Willis on making his 7th Pro Bowl in 7 seasons in the NFL, Justin Smith for making his 5th consecutive Pro Bowl (all as a Niner), and Ahmad Brooks for his 1st career selection.

Now hopefully the only reference of these guys making this team will be on paper!

Has this ever been done before? He's got to be close to a record.

Its rare, but not close to the record. Merlin Olsen made the Pro Bowl in the first 14 years of his career.

Pro Bowl alternates WR Anquan Boldin G Alex Boone P Andy Lee S Eric Reid ST C.J. Spillman S Donte Whitner

Hats off to these guys as well. Pretty impressive for Reid to be in the conversation in his frist season. The Special Teams slot is a tough one. Boldin has been superb. Lee is a perenial guy but there are some other fine punters out there.

So happy for Brooks! Best SAM in the game! Getting in as a SAM OLB in the 3-4 is like getting in as a NT on a 3-4. NOT EASY!

Reid had a better year than Weddle. He was snubbed.

Dude I love Reid but he is a rookie that has played pretty good not great. Weddle is a vet that has put up big numbers again. When a safety gets over 100 tackles and has 10 or more pass defenses he is having a damn good year. I am a realist in the fact that I understand not all my favorite players are going to make the pro-bowl. You could make a case that Willis got in on name and Iupati DOES not deserve the nod.

Contract year...he blew a few big TD's this year but overall, he played MUCH better this year next to Reid. But pro-bowl worthy? Not so much...IMHO, of course.

Willis needs to hit at least 12 consecutive pro bowls to be in very elite company

Jerry Rice had 12 straight and a 13th after missing it for a few years , Junior Seau had 12 straight as Charger then never went back, Reggie White had 13 straight missed it in '99 and then went back in 2000.
