he was not a runner. he was still in the pocket and he didn't make any running fake he actually had just faked a pass
it was clear helmet to helmet
HOWEVER
because he had been torching them in running they just let the crap go.
it's sickening. reward 1 style of play penalize another from the same position.
just because these other guys can't move around and find space doesn't mean they need extra protection

WHY NO FLAG I was so pissed.

Roger Badhell and the refs already know who they want in the SB.
It's gonna be an uphill battle for us in the post season. We gotta beat the teams in front of us and the refs that are going to be flag happy on our every move... sh!t calls and no-calls--rigged by the refs and Roger Badhell

The worst part is if he just stood there, Gore come out and goes to the left for a nice easy dump off pass and a gain of 5 yards. Most importantly he doesn't get his bell rung. I think he will be great, but he really needs to get some patience in the pocket before he gets killed

You not liking the rule has nothing to do with how it should or shouldn't be called. I can't tell if you just troll because you like to be devi;'s advocate or if you can't see the forest through the trees. Your argument boils down to it was good because I say so.
So since you decide how football is played and what should be the rules and that's how the refs will do it. Can you do something about the forward pass. We would dominate if there was none.

We settled for the same FG we would have gotten anywayOriginally posted by Dajanksta:Didn't care about the call. The defender had no clue Kap was going to 180 right into him. Besides we got a ghost PI call later that helped us big time.

LOL I just thought Kaepernick was a dumb ass for not getting rid of the ball.

Yet if that pass rusher had been blocked, and Kap made a big play running the other way, you would have a different opinion.
As a QB, you cant live scared of contact. I know the NFL is trying to turn them into wimps, but when youre a mobile QB, you dont have to throw the ball away as soon as things start closing in. Kap ended up running right into the defender, but alot of times he is able to make a play out of that. I dont really want him getting comfortable to throwing it away every time things dont go according to plan. IIRC Staley whiffed on that block as well, so thats out of his control.

Goodness gracious. I haven't read through the topic, but I can sum up my thoughts in four words:
We won! Who cares?
We won! Who cares?

Nothing the defender could really do, Kap pretty much ran right into him.

So much inconsistency, gray area and judgement for refs. It sucks. The worst no call was when Gonzalez literally threw whitner to the ground and then proceeded to catch a fake TD

that's by design. its a built in rollout to get out of pressure. every qb in the league does it.

Haha what are you talking about? When did stating your opinion become trolling in the webzone?I'm in no way under the delusion that my opinion of the rules effects how the refs call them, nor do I think i get to make up the rules lol.
I feel like that was a good no call for the same reason I think the Brooks penalty was a bad call. The defenders, in both instances, where just doing their jobs, which is to come off the edge and get to the QB. Neither of those hits looked malicous, just good clean football and I simply don't believe that we should be flagging players for doing their job.
So yes, I like the no call and hope that refs start to heir on that side of things instead of throwin a hanky every time an offensive player gets sneezed on.

The holding call for Boldin on the Falcon defender was BS too. The game is too fast for these refs. They are calling some of them on assumption and not seeing the whole thing.
I thought the refs were just doing a make up call for the free TD they gave Atlanta.

I agree that they need to be consistent with these penalties, but if the tables were turned and it was Aldon drilling Matt Ryan like that we would think it was amazing. Then again he'd probably get ejected or something because the officials can't seem to get any calls right anymore.
This, it was a good no call. Im tired of the campaign to make football a p***y sport even if its my team that came up short on that play, taking big hits out of the game is going to eventually ruin it.
Now the flag on whitner when he hit S-jax, that was a bad call.

aren't you consider a runner when you tuck the ball?
there was all this talk about the players "posture" in the preseason and the read option.
