Article: The 49ers need Kaepernick to play like Smith on Sunday

You don't need to school me, I've watch plenty of the coaches film this year too via GamePass. In our losses, it's a recurring theme that Kap has very little time to go through his progressions. Yes, there are times he bails early when feeling pressure, but using that and extrapolating it as the norm is intellectually dishonest. Looking at PFFs ratings, our O-line isn't performing to their standards from last year. Yes, we are the tenth ranked O-line but that's a far cry from the gushing we get every Sunday from commentators drooling about the best Oline they've seen since the Cowboys in the 90s. We simply aren't consistent in our wins to our losses and it's abundantly clear in the film and the statistics.

Being very fair Kap didn't do what I was talking about even once in this game (that I saw). And Anthony Davis was very inconsistent.

Glad Kaep didn't play like Alex Smith today.

175 yds passing 1 int and 1 td has you excited, huh

14-23 140 yards 1 TD, 1 Int 13 points scored

That was Alex last year against the Hawks

This!

Kaep had better stats vs a more superior Seattle team.

how is seattle far superior this year--their 2nd best cornerback was out---35 yards is "better stats"--yep not significantly...but if you want to play that card he also had 6 more pass attempts

If you don't think Seattle is far more superior this year, then you're not paying enough attention.

Let's just stick to the facts, Kaep had a better game (better stats, and more points). And now this "Alex Smith can beat the seahawks and Kaep can't." argument can now be put to rest for good!
