Seattle will have to go 11-5 for us to win the division with us finishing 12-4. The loss to the Panthers will give Seattle the division if we finished tied because of the record vs common opponents. I highly doubt they drop 4 of their next 5 with three of those being in Seattle....c'mon people lol as long as we get in with good momentum we will be ok

Yup looks like we need them to lose to the rams or cardinals in addition to losing to the Saints and us.

We will not. But we'll go deeper in the playoffs.

I said it earlier in the year, the Texans miracle win will give Seattle the NFC West. That game should have been a loss. If they lost that game, everything would be different now.
aint about them, its about us, should have won the carolina game.
and the colts game and maybe even the saints game but if ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a nice xmas
yeah we have to look inward, not at other games the seahawks snuck out late. they're good, we should expect that, its on us to keep pace.

Wait I thought the tie breaker is off of strength of schedule before common opponents? Don't we have a better strength of schedule than Seattle?

Head-to-head
Division
Non-division
Conference
Strength of victory
Then strength of schedule.

If the Saints win and the Niners TCOB, could be interesting.

If we finish with the same record as SEA, they still win it based on division and conference record.

I did the playoff machine on the ESPN site, it says we win the division if we tie...we have a better SOS

Not happening. Saints can't handle their physicality. Already down 10.

cause everyone tries todo what they are use to doing in SEA. just like us..... NO needs to quit switching guys in and out and stick to a more traditional/vanilla offensive sets/formations/calls. quit trying to get mix matches and what not and just line up with your best players and play. with simple play calls.

No, this is how it works:
If we finish with the same record as SEA (assuming we beat them and they lose to the Saints), they would have to lose to either the Rams or Cards as the fourth loss. A loss to the Giants does nothing for us (unless it helps make them 11-5). The reason is that we would have a better division record than them (5-1 vs. 4-2). That's why it has to be the Rams or Cards.
Doesn't really matter right now since they are smushing the Saints at this point...
