what happen to Kilgore?

I thought he would be playing when Staley went down. When did Looney surpass Kilgore on the dept chart?
Kilgore plays C, Lookney plays OG
I am sure Kilgore can play at both guard position as well as center. I didn't know Looney was ahead at guard.
I also though Kilgore was primarily to backup center.

They could be protecting Kilgore if they feel he and Looney are equally good at guard. In that case, if there's no drop-off, no reason to risk your top back-up at center if he's far better at center than Looney is.
Ted Robinson was saying this morning on KNBR that since 49ers use Kilgore as an eligible receiver on goal line plays he can't be an everydown lineman. Something to do with a rule in NFL.
Does anyone know which game(s) Kilgore played in as an actual Olineman and not as a 2nd TE? I wanted to watch some of his games and see how he did. Just to see if he has what it takes to be the next Center.
He changed his name to Adam, and he will break out next season.

I think we've only seen this in pre-season.
Like people have said.. I think last year they put him at center only so that he can do a better job of replacing Goodwin. Center seems like a pretty complex position so I like the idea of having the backup who is being groomed to be the starter just focus on his duties as a Center instead of learning both Center and Guard.

I think so too. Goodwin never missed any time and when Staley went down, Boone went to LT with Looney in at RG. Whenever Iupati was out, Snyder was in at LG. Oh well, I was hoping to watch Kilgore play a bit as a true OL and not just an oversized TE.
Gilgore got a WUI

Haha I saw that, too! Hard to believe that Williamson covers the 49ers, and still got Kilgore's name wrong. ESPN is such trash.

Williamson is such an idiot. Every article has misspelled words, crap grammar, and messed up names. He either never proof reads his articles even once, or he's just that stupid. Sando was a 50x better 49ers columnist and he was covering 4 teams.

that guy is straight up trash! Literally 90% of his "articles" are on the same topics every beat writer has already covered like 2 days late. The rest are really short, horribly formatted, full of grammatical errors pile of crap. Nothing inside, nothing deep and nothing entertaining, just bland crap, I wonder in the hell he got that job.
