I asked Maiocco yesterday on the csn bay area open chat if it was realistic that we'd resign Boldin. He said, yes, it's realistic because they like him a lot, so there's hope.

An extension would be nice. His outstanding blocking coupled with Crabtrees incredible blocking would make for a fearsome 3-WR set that we could dominate in both facets on offense in.
Three-wide: Crabtree Patton/rookie Boldin, with Vernon flexed at TE could be what we see next year, but that's if we don't add a WR in the draft or FA, which seems ludicrous that they wouldn't address that. We'll see if they bring Mario back, but I know they really like Patton.

I would like to see a fully healthy Q, Crabs, and The Duke on the same field together! We might get a glimpse this sunday, but IMO Crabs is probably only going to get a few snaps and needs another month to fully heal at least.

Oh hellz yeah!!!
I wanted Boldin coming outta the draft, I didn't even give a s**t that he ran a high 4.6.
Exactly. I'm not a great prognosticator of college talent, but with Anquan, you could just tell their was a certain specialness to him.

I agree i remember the Monday i saw on NFL Network that we had traded for him i was over joyed hes been a player i have always respected for years. He does his job and keeps his mouth shut lets his play do the talking. i was furious when we didn't go after him when he become a FA from Arz. He has been as good as imagined he would be the guy is a BEAST! in my opinion still the best FA pick up of the whole off season in the NFL i know the Niners are going to go in heavy this off season at the WR position but PLEASE re sign him hes a great mentor for our future WR's and is a absolute stud on the field even at this age. He seriously needs to be re signed the guy catches balls even when fully covered next season cause of his age i see his playing time going down slightly but when he is in there we know what he will do.

So, are people now at least accepting Boldin as a # 1 wideout? because it seemed like for weeks, people were undervaluing him.
How much can you lowball someone who most of the league didn't want to pay $6M THIS year?

Who said all the league wouldn't pay $6M for Boldin, only Baltimore said that. Minnesota was interested, they offered a 7th. Nowhere did I ever read that no team wanted Boldin at $6M. Boldin at $6M is a steal IMO.

Have always loved Boldin, and that was hard when he was in the division. But seriously this guy is the definition of what a football player should be.
Dont know if he will be resigned or not, for some reason im leaning towards he wont be, but not really worried about it right now, just grateful i got to see him in a 49ers uniform at one point in his career.

great receiver and he will look even better once crabs and manningham get their legs under them 100%. this offense should be pretty potent entering the playoffs

When fully healthy, I wonder how the distribution would be to Crabtree and Boldin... and how each will feel if they are seeing.. not enough.. passes their way.

I'm with Chaz on this. No disrespect to crabs, but Boldin is the guy that caught every damn jumpball on the OOB line all game against us in SB and probably beat us singlehandedly. Nobody does the OOB jumpball catch like boldin and a major disappointment has been, we KNOW what he is capable of on 3rd down conversions, we know what he can do in EZ, and has HaRo used him for the 3rd down conversion and EZ jumpball catches? NO!. And the next question is "WHY IN THE HELL NOT?" We have had multiple opportunities to use him thus, and did we in losses to SEA, INDY, Saints, Panthers? NO, no, no, and no. And that is coming from the former COY jim harbaugh? Wow, has Coach H ever fallen off a cliff. I thot he was the best thing since sliced bread, but overlooking what this one superstar can do...and actually DID to us in SB....and then NOT TO USE HIM in this manner....well, it just frustrates the hell out of me, and I wonder just how good is Coach H, or did he come in and salvage a team that already had great talent?
I guess, I am just terribly disappointed that a guy who I feel is a great coach could be so influenced by his krappy OC, that he just doesn't see all the bad roman has caused, instead focusing on the good games...against weak sister teams. Where thoughtfulness and innovation, creativity are concerned, Coach H has backslid about, oh, well 3 yrs. Again, the question....WHY?
I love the way this guy plays football. He plays with such fire, physicality and is such a savvy receiver. I don't know what will happen when Crab is back to 100%, but as of now, Boldin is clearly our #1 WR, IMO.
