Finally saw what I wanted to see from the defense. Some good blitzing from the middle line backers, and some good pass rushing from our OLB's and DL (welcome back aldon of 2012!)
Sure we saw some over aggressive guys going for the fake option which gave some decent ground gains, but there werent any big plays. It's nice to see this style of defense, and I think we need to do this more often, especially against teams with lacking WR's (seattle).

Aldon was just getting warmed up. I predict 12 sacks for him by the end of the season.

Let's wait to see if they show up against a better team and better QB but it's nice when Aldon gets his sacks

When Aldon dominates at the level that he did today, plays like a wrecking machine, the entire defense goes up to a whole new level. He's really the key in terms of getting the pass rush going and as teams focus more on him, it does open up opportunities for other guys such as Brooks and the DL's to get to the QB.

Need to see it against top teams. While it feels great, only beating up on bad teams doesn't win Superbowls.

And this is why Arizona is in trouble for the 6th seed. With our front 7 getting after the passer like this now with Aldon back and the gang balling their statue Palmer is gonna eat dirt all day. Yes the Cards have found a running game but that won't fly vs us. We are going to eat Palmer up when he has to go pass heavy and play from behind. We get in this time and we are going to be the NYG 2007!!!

The pass rush was ridiculous today. 2nd half I honestly felt sorry for RGIII. He took a major beating.

They mentioned Aldon was sick against the Saints he kind of looked like he was going through the motions when I was watching him. I thought Lemonier could have done just as well. Then again I'd have to break down each play to know for sure. I also thought he wasn't in tip top game shape and looked like he gained 5-10 pounds. He said he got 2 work outs in a week but obviously not practice reps and a real football workout. That would explain it if he was flu like sick or whatever it was on on medicine plus not being in game shape. Tonight looks to have lost a few and looked to be in better game shape. I'd blame who we played but did well against Trent Williams. Not sure how he is doing this year but I know in past few seasons Trent was a good LT.

Pass Rush is what we was missing the last couple of weeks. Its good to see that key part of our defense makes its way back. Hopefully we'll continue to consistently pressure the opposing QB week in and week out. It was fun watching the opposing QB run for his life and looked lost tonight. Hopefully they show up this week against the Lambs.

Fred Dean would cause havoc on opposing offenses, so could Charles Haley. Aldon is definitely headed in that direction where he can take control of a game. With Brooks and Lemonier in the mix it's lights out.

The pass rush may not have been there in our 4 losses but overall the D played well. The D kept those games close in hopes of the offense helping out which never happened. Against the Skins the offense somewhat got on track but I can't really say the offense is back because THEY need to prove it against a playoff team..

True but sacks can drastically alter field position and they oftentimes force the following play to be another pass or a punt. Sacks create very favorable outcomes for this squad. Putting Aldon together with Brooks and company makes things a lot better for us

The combination of Smith and Brooks works amazing; their skills seem to compliment each other perfectly.
