Back under the radar

I kind of like the fact that so called experts are ignoring the 49ers. ESPN does their best to not mention the Niners. I feel like the team plays best under the radar, when no one expects us to do anything. Seems everyone is all about the Cheaphawks, Saints & Broncos. No love for the defending NFC champs. Do you like it that way, or does it piss you off?

Love it this way. I haven't seen a single 49er highlight on sportscenter in like 3 weeks

Yea and last Sunday whenever NFL network or ESPN talked about the Niners-Jags game, they only talked about how horrible Jax is.

It's pretty cool, I just never expected it to happen. But you're right, we do play much better under the radar. That why we were WWL last year. we had too much hype on us the whole year. It's good though because I can tell from watching th team play they feel like they got something to prove, and they do.
If we beat NO in NO I don't expect it to happen any more and that's doubled if we beat Seattle. All the prognosticators will be back on our jock like they never left. "I'm telling you, this 49ers team has been there done that and will be scary for anybody to play in the playoffs blah blah blah". They are the ultimate in fair weather fans.
All that matters though is staying healthy and getting better which is what we have been doing. The media attention has never really been a good thing for us.

They were talking about us on NFL Network yesterday. Michael Irvin basically said that everyone cashed us out when we got killed in the Clink and then got beat by Indy at home.
Since then, we've feasted on doormats.
We'll be back on the radar after we beat the Saints.

If the Niners beat the Panthers and then go down to New Orleans and win again, they'll be talking about them. But right now, I like under the radar. Actually, by the end of November, they'll be on everyone's mind because they go back to play the Redskins in DC and everyone will be talking about Kaepernick v. RGIII.

If we can get Aldon and Manningham back before the Saints game...I think we have a puncher's chance of winning in the Superdome.

Of course they talking bout those 3 teams and the Chiefs b/c they have the best records in the league. Rest of the time is spent on the cowboys or rg3. They never been about equal ccoverage. They about ratings. And I don't think they are under the radar just b/c they aren't talked about in ESPN. They are ranked pretty high on all power rankings. Seattle is rightfully so the favorites right now til the Niners prove it otherwise on the field. Favorites don't always win. See last years super bowl.

We'll need a pass rush for sure. The way our secondary has been playing, if we don't have Aldon maybe we blitz Brees and play aggressive on their receivers. But we won there last year when NO was hot so I think we can do it again. I know NO is much better this year, but I actually think we're better too.

What does that mean, being back under the radar? We've won 5 straight games by an average of over 22 points. We're not under any radar in the media or in the league.

I really like being under the radar.
We'll be back in the spotlight when the playoffs start.

Imo "being under the radar" means no one is crowning you. If you pay attention to the talking heads they talk as if the Seahawks are already in the superbowl.

The 2 teams that are under the radar in the NFC will be the 2 that play for the NFC Championship and that's GB and SF

I think we're ranked correctly on the espn poll. We got beat horribly by two mediocre teams. The games should've been much closer than it was.
