that's 6 more players off the current roster.

Osgood, Stupar, Morris, Moore and Cunningham would probably be the majority of the goners.

The PUP/NFI list is by FAR, the most intriguing to me right now and I think this Texans game will heavily influence it. Look at this "realistic" list of players who could be activated after Week 6:
RB Marcus Lattimore (NFI)
WR Mario Manningham (PUP)
OT Luke Marquardt (NFI)
DE Quinton Dial & Tank Carradine (NFI)
OLB Aldon Smith (NFI)
CB Eric Wright (I.R. & NFI)

This doesn't cover the Nick Moody's or Michael Crabtree's (I.R.) much much later in the year.
Now, truly, the only two I'm expectig here are Manningham and perhaps, Wright.

Personally, I would make the cuts this way.

1. Marlon Moore
2. Jermaine Cunningham
3. Chris Osgood
4. Nate Stupar
5. Colt McCoy
Josh Freeman just released...Skelton over him?

I personally don't expect Lattimore (a given) and Marquardt to ever see the field this season. Dial and Carradine I'd say will probably get active, but won't return to game-action in the field til late in the season.

agreed by mid November this team will look vastly different...in terms of depth of course barring further injuries to anyone.

Agreed with Lattimore although I have heard much more encouraging things from his camp than I have from Tank/Dial right now (Fangio). So this is why it's so intriguing to me. I have NO clue who really will join us, let alone, know how much, if any, they will contribute. And Manningham? I haven't heard much from him either so who knows what the real story is. And if we LOSE to the Texans? That may speed up the process! Manningham is one we all expect after week 6 but this coaching/training staff seems to be overly cautious with injuries also so...???

Yeah, those guys wont be cut. Especially Osgood and Stupar. Morris might if Wright is healthy. Cunningham once Aldon is back.

Dobbs and TJE if Dial and Tank are back. Kyle Williams and Moore go for Mario and Crabs. simple math..Stupar for Moody.

So basically

Moody is back, Stupar is cut
Mario is back, Moore is cut
Crabs is back, Williams is cut
Tank is back, TJE is cut
Dial is back, Dobbs is cut
Wright is back, Morris is gone
Aldon is back, Cunningham is gone

All are active on game days when fully healthy.

Makes the team so much stronger if all those guys are healthy.
