SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS VS TENNESSEE TITANS GAMEDAY THREAD (Week 7)

I know its only Jacksonville but we can never ever take any team lightly, Any Given Sunday.

Probably. I don't think it'd make a lot sense to come back to San Francisco, now you're upping your travel time significantly.

Why we beat them.

1. Niners are on a mission... off to London afterwards. They're focused on beating those two teams and get home safe for the BYE. It's Domination Time (after the BYE).

2. Fitzpatrick still having nightmares of the beat down from last year http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=321007025

3. Their defense will eventually wear down, the offense (other than maybe CJ) won't be doing much other than 3 and out.

4. Latest trend--teams that played the CAWKS had lost the following week (Panthers, Niners, Jaguars, Texans, Colts, next up-Titans)...

5. Roman is restricted from eating pizza till after the win!!

6. The Football Gods DO NOT want to hear me

Boldin and davis will be beasts as always wether receiving or blocking! Titans have a good defense. We look to be geared right to come out on top! Top 3 Performers on Offense
(Locker is #1 but is injured obviously)

1. Michael Roos-OL 7.5 Has good ratings in every way possible, run block, pass block, screen block..etc.

2. Nate Washington-WR 7.0 Has been a very reliable WR for them, hasn't really clicked with Fitzpatrick though.

3. Kendall Wright-WR 3.7 Has been their most explosive receiving threat.

Worst 3 Performers on Offense
1. Robert Turner-OL -13.6 I don't understand how this guy is in their starting lineup, he has the worst ranking of any offensive lineman in the NFL. Just plain offensive, terrible on run blocking, terrible on pass blocking, about the only thing he does right is not getting penalized.

2. Kenny Britt-WR -9.1 Bad receiver, bad run blocker, bad with penalties, just plain bad.

3. Chance Warmack-OL -6.8 Terrible pass-blocker

Top 3 Performers on Defense

1. Jurell Casey-DL 15.6 3rd round pick in 2011 has been absolutely beasting this season, can stop the run and rush the QB equally well, will be the second best defensive lineman that the 49ers have gone up against after JJ Watt.

2. Alterraun Verner-CB 11.2 Richard Sherman without the mouth, terrific lockdown corner, a bit undersized at 5'10, 189, doesn't do especially well as a tackler.

3. Jason McCourty-CB 7.3 Another very good performer in a high quality secondary.

Worst 3 Performers on Defense

1. Moises Fokou-LB -9.6 Fokou is apparently what he says to his own team, he's been bad. Struggles in pass coverage and in stopping the run, has seen his snaps reduced somewhat recently.

2. Zack Brown-LB -5.0 Has improved in the past few weeks but has been weak against the run and the pass as well, decent pass rush numbers but little else.

3. Ropati Pitoitua-DL -3.2 Hasn't brought anything to the table as a pass rusher.

This is a game that the 49ers will have to win on the ground. Tennessee is outstanding when it comes to its pass defense and brings an intense pass rush as well. Their linebackers as a group aren't very impressive and have struggled to stop the run all season. On defense, their running game has struggled immensely, ESPECIALLY running behind TE and running behind Center or Right Guard, basically running anywhere to the right has resulted in an average less than 2 yards per carry.

Great post man! Should we expect this on every gameday thread?

If he was a good run blocker and still bad with everything than yes but since he is a bad run blocker no.

Yeah 808niner wouldn't make sense for them to fly 2500-3000 miles back to SF and then another 3000 to get back to Tenn then another 3k to get to London from there. Would be like flying 18k (3 to tenn, 3 to sf, 6 to london, 6 back) if we came home compared to us flying 3 to tenn, 3 more to london plus 6 back is 12k. So an extra 6k miles for to come home doesn't make sense.

I'm thinking we will do that with our back to back weeks against New Orleans and Washington. Probably fly to NO on Friday, play Sunday then head straight to Washington and spend the week there. I know last time (2011) we went to the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and a high ranking soldier talked to the whole team. Then they put in a play after his name (skywalker) against the Redskins. http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2011/11/08/skywalker-on-2/

We should do the same thing this year. Give the new guys a tour of Arlington and if any of them aren't grounded that should do the trick. Give them an idea of what real heroes are. Not that athletes aren't still heroes but seems like less and less are worthy of being looked up to in today's world.
