Delanie "Swiss Army Knife" Walker is an open book into our teams philosophy and play calling for the Titans. The blitz packages from Vic are finally depleted, the tapes out, and the 49ers can't generate any pass rush. After Fitzpatrick throws for 2 touchdowns to Nate Washington the games opened up for CJ2K in the running game and a hampered McDonald and missing Dorsey is exploited. The Titans who are motivated by a close game against out rivals are empowered and shut down the run game. Once again the receivers can't get open and a team is finally smart enough to account for Vernon. Boldin gets 120 yards, 80 yds during garbage time while down two TDs.
49ers pull out a reverse upset and win 43-12
You think we not know that?
Fitzpatrick is gonna get rocked and CJ ain't going to run on us.
Johnson is slumping, but so is the 49ers run D. The secondary has (surprisingly) been the strongest unit on the defensive side, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Titans try to get Johnson on track and just keep feeding him the ball. And I wouldn't bet the farm on Fitzpatrick getting rocked...Titans are so-so in that they've given up 15 sacks, but even though Niners did get a sack-safety vs. Cards, that was the only sack with Palmer throwing 41 passes, and he was rarely under pressure. I think Fangio is gonna have to be willing to blitz more often, and not just late in the game, would be nice to see them be aggressive early.
