Poll:Is Thursday night a must win game?

Poll:Is Thursday night a must win game?

Like Stubblefield said in the postgame....teams know we're having issues right now so they are going to be gunning for us in our low time.
If this team wants to keep its sanity they need a win against St Louis. What a better way to do that then a win on the road against a rival. Gonna have another tough one at home the next week and for the Niners, Candlestick doesn't seem to be a homefield advantage anymore.

you are under estimating a team coached by Harbaugh. When a team is coached by the best coach in the nfl history, it just ain't the same.

Best coach in nfl history? When did we get Walsh back? Or Shula, or Halas, or Lombardi........
obviously this is a must win. This is a very big game. St Louis has not looked good up to now.
If we want to embarrass ourselves, then no.

But, if we still want to keep a slim hope of getting into the playoffs alive, then is imperative we win this game !!

Names that do not deserve to be mentioned together with Harbaugh.
This game is coming at a pivotal point in the season, we are down, beaten and bruised with a little bit of chatter coming from an unhappy locker room it appears right now. Must win.... BIG
I think this game goes a long way in determining our season, win or lose.

If we lose this game, I think more players will voice their frustrations.

I think we can recover from 1-3 to sniff the playoffs... wouldn't bet money on it though.

Agree.

At 1-3 we would be in a very tough position with a team that would be beaten mentally and physical (so many injuries).

All I know is we need the Texans to show up and beat Seattle next week!

Lets go 49ers!!!!
In absolute terms? - Absolutely not! We could still end up 13-3 which gets into the playoffs.

It just won't happen. As many in the WZ talked about, the first part of the schedule was/is a b!tch.

IF.....

1 There are no more injuries
2 AS comes back fairly quickly and is sober
3 The injured Veterans come back
4 The injured Rookies get added and can contribute
and
5 The Coaches make some big adjustments

.....then we will vie for a wild card slot - but we would still have to go through Seattle (in Seattle) in the post season. No SB this year. Might be a better option to mentally prepare for looking towards the 2014 season. Most of our key players are not that old (notable are of course Gore and Cowboy). The talent from this last draft should be fully healed up and we probably won't open up with quite as tough of a schedule (til further notice, we have ZERO chance of winning in Seattle - if that happens early, it weighs on this team)

Of course it is a must win, specially after the las two games... Problem is that it will probably be a tie

Harbaugh isn't even the best coach in the NFL. Belichick still has a very strong claim to that. His talent-devoid team is still winning (ugly.)

Every game from now on must be treated like a playoff game, IMO.
With Seattle already 2 games ahead, our margin for errors is gone.

Let's see what happens when Seattle actually plays a decent team. The luster was taken off their win against the 49ers by what happened yesterday. I am not sold on Seattle yet either, but there may not be much comp for the NFC West anyway.
