no.

execute running plays

the colts give up 5 yards per carry coming into this game

and we don't run.

And all our receivers are hurt. THAT MEANS YOU RUN RUN RUN RUN AND RUN SOME MORE.
Hiring Eric Mangini as an offensive consultant? These are type of decisions that boggle the mind.
I've been reading posts on here for the past few years but never signed up until now. I completely agree with the frustration expressed by the other members on this thread. I was totally flabbergasted by Roman's play calling today. It was almost as though the guy has Kap on his fantasy team and wanted to inflate his stats. I've been calling for the Niners to get away from the pistol/read option all year due to the way it has negatively affected our running game overall. I had been waiting for Roman to put us back into the I-formation and run it down the opponents throat. He started off doing it today and our offense was clicking on the 91 yard drive. Then for whatever reason, he decided to go back to handing the ball off out of the pistol formation and designing sweep pitches to Anthony freakin Dixon and designing runs for Kap out of the read option. He never gave Gore 2 runs out of a traditional formation again on any possession the rest of the game. Very frustrating, but look on the bright side guys, at least Roman's fantasy team probably lost as well.

Haven't noticed anything positive from that hire

Kap is fine...... Kinda a hard when you have a slow #2 position receiver and a bunch of #4-5 s and a rookie n one who doesn't know the playbook.

Someone who plays on another team this year went to the playoffs with that same slow #2 and a bunch of #4-5 not but two years ago. Kapscuses. He needs to get his head in the game and out of the McDonald's commercials.

Really. Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones and Brandon Stokely are 4-5s.... Lol. Kyle Williams, Marlon Moore and Quinten Patton..... Lmao... Come on. Lets get realistic

?

2 years ago. Which QB, wearing Red and Gold, went to the NFCCG with Kyle Williams, Brett Swain, Ted Ginn?

Hint: Not Joe Flacco

Like it or not part of the blame is on Kaepernick. He showed a lack of poise and a lack of touch today. Add that to inept play calls, WRs not getting open, and the injuries it's a no brainer why we lost.

To the OP.

If people haven't yet realized that we lost the SB largely because Gore NEVER touched the ball on the final 4 down series inside the 10, and less because of what may or may not have been a hold in the endzone...

Then they never will.

Add presnap reads and audibles to the list of things hes not doing well. Also flushing from the pocket too soon, and then when he actually needs to flush being indecisive on when to run. Not seeing the underneath and intermediate passing game. Gameplan was s**t, offense was s**t, playcalling was s**t, but Kap s**t the bed two weeks in a row as well.
I just finished watching this abomination on DVR, and not going to scroll through all the pages...so does anyone know why, when the "traditional" run formations of QB under center and FB lead-blocker with Gore picking up yards, they STOPPED using it?

Kap is not adjusting to what he has. He needs to take what the defense gives him,

He's not doing that. He's making bad decisions, and he's failing to execute even the most basic throws.

He's choking badly, and the coaches need to help him out.
