35 carries for a microscopic 90 yards.
Hmmm.
Not going to put this all on the oline.
But something wasn't right. More likely the scheming than the execution.

packers were very obviously set on establishing contain, they played a zone almost every snap, etc. not worried about the lack of running game or read option, the offense was well prepared for what the packers were doing and took what they could get. i thought the packers were quite fortunate to get out of this game only giving up 34 points. k. williams should have made a better play on one of those deep balls, possibly drawing a p.i. on it. davis dropped a pass in the 2nd quarter that would have put them deep in gb territory. new pieces (patton, mcdonald) and injured pieces (lmj, manningham, hopefully crabtree) and previously injured pieces (hunter, k. williams) are yet to be fully integrated. offense has nowhere to go but up, imo.
defense... willis looked rusty. secondary depth may be major concern of the season with culliver out. another injury in the secondary would be a disaster. nnamdi looked okay to me. reid looked alright. missed tackles hurt more than anything. and wr's making tough catches / rodgers being rodgers.
49ers will smoke the packers again if they get them at home in the playoffs. wouldn't want to play them at lambeau in january, though.

1.very worried about first half tackling but glad to see that ship corrected itself in the second half. Just was not used to seeing that type of poor tackling
2 good plays by the defense at crunch time to not let them out of the hole whether it be little things like a batted down pass, a stop by bowman on third and the much aligned whitner making a savvy play to keep that wide out in bounds at the end of the game. huge
3 great play by our rookie safety
4 very happy with special teams, even though lee did not boom them and dawson missed a kick, but coverage was very good esp on kickoffs. we were helped that green bay went full retard on two run backs but we did not let them out of a hole
5 lack of run game early not a concern, when they needed a tough yard they got it, hunter got a huge 15 yard run against a team that was dead set to stop the run, I noted the team ran better as the second half went, no issues because we know what they can do,, i was upset at times last year with pass protection but sunday they were solid
6. never one to rant at refs,, but am pretty sure scumbag clay should have been ejected, i would like to know why bowman got the 15 yard penalty and packers should have been hit with penalties when they were roughing boldin on the ground after he got his last catch I think

This needs to be Rogers last year, its ridiculous he's the highest paid player on the team. (For a subpar B- Corner)

oh and yes kyle did a good job,, i feel he did well and yes I am sorry but ck threw a rare bad pass otherwise kyle would have had a score, he did a decent job in punt returns and I feel bad for people who still feel they "have to hold their breath" with kyle, they are very short sighted,, also I thought cox was respectable in kick off returns, was a bit surprised hunter was not there but maybe they are just easing hunter back. kickoffs will be much much better when james gets back

It certainly will be his last year. We were just going to take a huge hit on his contract if we cut him this offseason. Next offseason is a different story. He's either cut or renegotiates to market value, which would be minimal at that point.
Agreed, I think Cully and Brown are better than him as cover CBs

I don't know if anyone caught this, but at some point in the 4th quarter when we had the ball, there was a shot of Harbaugh on his headset and he screamed "Shut Up!". I think he was telling Roman to quite yapping and get the play call in lol. Anyone else see this?
no but he should be saying that to roman. It would not shock me to see the root of the biggest problem our team has get traced by to roman. I forgot to say that was the single thing that upset me. this was a big issue last year and we all blamed it on ck being new etc etc. well there are no more excuses in my opinion. You think that was an issue at home? what the hell do you think will happen this sunday night? there is no reason why we are still f**king stumbling around with this s**t, costing us valuable time outs and perhaps penalties

I didn't see it, but I will tell you why it makes sense. Remember Kap's interview straight after the Super Bowl loss ? When asked by the media, he said we didn't have a play call for cover zero during that infamous "last 5 yard" drive whereby he had to audible and called for a fade to Crab. I can't see how Kap would BS about that and lay blame on others.
If this is indeed true, Harbaugh will need to put his size 12 on Roman's a**. Seriously, if the same sh*t happens again next week up in Clink ? We will get our as*es kicked again !! And I am not joking !!

i wonder how involved harbaugh is in the play calling and if greg roman has autonomy or not. harbaugh seems like a micromanager to me and too many people in the corn flakes could be bogging down the play calling process.

when roman goes full retard like he will this year at some point,, or if the theory floated by some here is true that roman is the reason why plays are not getting in on time,,,, then Jh has every right in the world to kick his ass

Was it me, or did it seem like GB was holding somebody on our defense almost every play? Why weren't the refs calling these? They were blatant.

what I got from that game, packers dline is full of fat dudes. the offensive line holds on every play for the packers, and should have been way more calls for it. But overall team looks fine, should jell as the season goes and also improve when crab and manham come back.
To be fair. I saw plenty of un-called holds for the Niners. All in all the refs let em play for this one. I saw Rogers constantly tugging Randall Cobb's jersey . He just couldn't run with him. For the most part it was just the blatant stuff that called.

11 Penalties that helped produce 14 points.
Way too long getting plays off again.
Our defense is not as good. Our DB's were not good and our pass rush was horrible.
Our OL has always been overrated in the running game IMO. It just finally showed up.
I have no idea how Matthews wasn't tossed for punching Staley in the face. Staley did nothing to get a penalty there.

oh and the other thing I am very very happy we have a good locker room unlike the dolphins who had a nice win but wallace b***hing about getting one catch,, and while some are down on our run game yesterday ( i am not one), we are not like the giants who are now having to give a tryout to brandon jacobs. its just a little thing but again I am very happy about the culture and climate that has been created here
