The 49ers have so much youth on the offense, its amazing. All these younger WR's and TE's could end up paying big dividends down the road. There's Quinton Patton, Marlon Moore, Vance McDonald, Chris Harper, Jon Baldwin, plenty of talent and potential for the coaching staff to work with. This is an offense that can grow together down the road, plus you have veteran targets in VD, Boldin, Crabtree, so many potential options. At RB you have Hunter, James and Lattimore ready to step in for Gore who doesn't look like he's ready to be done anytime soon. Combine that with a terrific young OL and a young, franchise QB and the future looks incredibly bright!

Yeah we are in the process of a youth movement no doubt about it. Sopoaga, Gooden, Moss, Ginn, Haggans, Leonard Davis in FA... Haralson, Jennings gone so far.... expect Whitner and possibly Goodwin next year. Probably Rogers if he doesn't restructure. Tukuafu (29) most likely after this year or maybe even after week 1 when Dobbs comes back. Side note, Ray, Vernon, Brooks, Staley about to be 30 by next season I believe. Still they all seem to be doing fine and should be good to go for at least 3-4 more years.

All 3 will probably be gone.

Yes most likely. Kilgore is steadily improving while Goodwin ages and there really is almost no drop-off now. By next year, Kilgore will be ready to replace him. I like Whitner, but he is a liability in coverage and Dahl is not even close to a worthy replacement.
Kilgore will replace Goodwin.
Culliver will replace Rogers.
A draftee or FA will replace Whitner.
Hunter or Lattimore will eventually replace Gore.
Carradine is supposed to be Justin Smith's replacement but I am not sure I think he can fill those shoes. I see him as more of a RayMac type. TBD there.

Hell yeah man! We have so much young talent at the skill positions its crazy.
Now that we have a bonafide stud QB, the skill position guys will really shine.

OTC, I agree with those replacements but McDonald is signed through 2015 so not sure about that one although agree, doubt Carradine can fully replace Smith. As for Brooks could very well have to have him restructure or cut him down the round if Lemonier looks good. Would help us save for future but only problem is for 2014 would save 4.5 mil but have a 3 mil cap hit, 2015 we would only have 3 mil dead money and save 5.35 mil, 2016 seems like he wont make it for that year since we would only have 1.5 dead but a 7.350 savings. So he very well could be gone after the 2015 season. Maybe even before but 2016 seems like a real possibility.
As for Kilgore though he needs to get stronger. He's quick enough for the spot but not sure he can hold up to the better NTs and DTs.

This team is young & improving at all times. Great blend of youth, talented & experienced players all while looking towards the future, but taking it a game at a time. Great job by the 49ers organization!

I am happy about the way it seems like "WE" are making a habit of hoarding draft picks

Yes, we. We, the fans, are as much a part of the organization as any of the players, seeing as we make it possible

If the Chiefs win 8 or more games this year, the Niners will have 1 first, 2 seconds and 3 thirds. Unbelievable. They'll have something like 14 total picks, probably the most in the league just like last draft. This pretty much assures that they can get almost anyone they really want to in the first with all that capital. I expect them to trade up for one of the top corners, but with all those picks, I guess I could imagine them trading up into the top five for Clowney - now there's a legitimate replacement for Justin Smith right there.
