just because I finally have the QB I want for our team, doesn't mean I'm going to be a blind homer now like some (*cough* Sus *cough*)
I think people forget how most of the Alex fans here were calling Harbaugh names late last year.
at least I stay consistent.
Well let me see. I never liked Harbaugh, ("I've never been a Homer here regarding the FO, coach, or GM. be it Mooch, Erickson, Nolan, Sing, or Harbaugh.", I still have grudges against him for Harbaugh benching my Alex,("I think people forget how most of the Alex fans here were calling Harbaugh names late last year. at least I stay consistent."), now here is this opportunity to knock Harbaugh some, heck, I'm not going to let this pass.
Totally understand.

We just came back from a nice SuperBowl run..and NFL Network actually assigned a reporter to our team. Like ESPN did with the Cowboys.
if this were last year, I'm sure the media would've jumped on this to make Harbaugh look bad.
they could've did video edits of Jim saying "We're the 49ers, we can do what ever we want" then quickly show Harbaugh commenting on Wallace's career...then showing Wallace's comments....then talking about how Colt really did restructure his contract....then showing Jim saying that quote again regarding "We're the 49ers...etc"
these networks LIVE off little stories like this...just so ex-players and former reporters can give their opinions about it (really not their opinions but more so what the ESPN Staff behind the camera want them to touch on) It could've been a reaaaal s**t storm.
but again, the media likes covering us right now, and I don't think they want to burn bridges with Harbaugh and the FO...BUUUUUUUT if we start losing a couple of games, TRUST ME they will be licking their chops to go off..
and we shouldn't give a f**k...but the media is powerful and persuasive....and it could be a distraction to the team.
One thing I've been wondering lately is why the media hates on the Jets so much. I mean obviously they have issues right now but I feel like the media is trying to drive Ryan out of town or something. They drove dude over the edge a couple of days ago. Then ESPN every hour on the hour aired the break down. Same way with Bellichick and his "same thing everyday" comments. I don't understand why the media does that. When your in they love you but when your out they want to slit your throat three times a day and 4 times on the weekend. I don't blame Harbaugh for his attitude. He's probably experienced this before and has decided to not give the media the satisfaction.

listen, you can suck up to the media but they'll be the first to turn on you and spin a nothing into some grand event to make a headline. Harbaugh knows this and that's exactly why he keeps them at a distance.
You can keep the media at distance without treating them the way Harbaugh does.
If you want to argue that Harbaugh's treatment of the media or his interactions with the media are good, we disagree.
My guess is that at some point, it will come back to bite him on the butt.
My point is that the disdain he shows for them is NOT necessary.

I understand he shouldn't have said he thought Wallace was retiring. But Wallace had no contact with him, his agent had no contact with him. Just hours before the game he announces he's quitting. Sounds like a guy who doesn't want to play anymore. His fault for not making his intentions clear to the team.
Wallace should be happy a team gave him an opportunity, regardless of their motives. For a guy who wasn't on an NFL roster for all of 2012 and just got dumped by the Saints in the preseason a few weeks back, he sure is a whiny b***h. Seneca doesn't seem to realize that he's retired yet, but the rest of the NFL does.

I don't want a nice guy coach. I want a guy that will do anything to win football games. Jim is a hard ass and I wouldn't have it any other way. The best players will play.

Yea I was watching a presser around the time Haralson was traded. I forgot the question he was asked but it wasn't even a loaded question. It was like a really minor thing about an injured player or something. Harbaugh called the dude out though. By name he asked if he thought he really had a story there. It was really kind of rude.

Exactly. If he really wanted to give himself the best shot at making a roster, he should have stuck around for 3 more hours and played against San Diego. Many guys are in his position with no shot at making the team, but at least put yourself on film to audition for other teams. He didn't even want to do that. I've never seen a player quit ON gameday. I don't blame Harbaugh for thinking he was done playing.

This only increases my affinity for the Head Coach. Accomplish the objective at any cost. If the casualties want to cry about it, so be it - they're just nameless faces anyway.
