That's a good point, there's no way you could play worse than McCoy this preseason. He has a sub-30 passer rating...worse than if every pass he threw was incomplete
I think he's excused this season though because he's still learning the playbook. If anyone gets cut it's Tolzein, he has no excuse, he knows the playbook well and still struggles. At this point he's worthless to the team.
But, if Harbaugh wants to work Wallace out, that tells us is not so much about the playbook. They are basically saying they are pis*ed with both McCoy and Tolzien.
Yea possibly. At this point I think Harbaugh sees Mccoy and Tolzien as two identical QBs. So essentially I think he's saying "We might as well dump one, and switch it with a more athletic player." Which is the type of player Harbaugh actually prefers at the position.
The fact that McCoy and Tolz are playing bad pretty much places them on an even scale with Seneca Wallace, it can't get any worse. However Wallace at least has the athletic factor, where they can teach him some read-option stuff so in case Kaep gets hurt, they'll have Wallace and Daniels capable of executing the game plan.
Btw, if they didn't dump Josh Johnson, I don't think we'd be talking about Wallace right now.
