um. no.
Reading WAY too much into it. Baalke is the GM and Harbaugh is the coach. Jim did exactly as he should

He has done nothing to shore up this offense through the draft since he became GM, especially at the wide receiver position where he has failed miserably. We are one injury away from completely losing our running game because the front office has failed to draft our future back in the last three years...Who is AJ Jenkins, LaMichael James, and now Kap etc...The list goes on and on. Go look at the offensive playmaker personnel drafted since 2011..Name one offensive playmaker that has been drafted since 2011 that has made a significant impact on offense...
Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree, and Gore are all pre-Balke...There is a bigger problem here people and it reaks from the GM office...We had 14 picks last year? 2012 was a joke...This isn;t a draft war room thread..This thead is made to point a finger at the GM who has made complete shambles of the offense.

Can't really criticize the guy too much, he's missed badly on one pick, yet hit home runs on 4 others, maybe more. He definitely doesn't have an eye for wide receivers, but he is hardly the real problem.
And let's not forget about a certain guy named Lattimore...
Edit: And sure Kap is playing like piss right now, and may flame out...but the dude lead us to the Super Bowl last year, I think that gives Balke a pass on that pick, lol.

This thread is stupid. Baalke is not the problem at all. Not every draft pick is going to be a probowler.

I'm not saying that we need everyone to a probowler...Im Saying we need players that can make plays.
And if you read the post..he hasn't drafted enough offensive players that can actually do something on the field.

I do blame him for not addressing the offense like he should have, but these s**tty performances are not even close to his fault.

James, Lattimore......etc. Its not Baalke's fault that the coaching staff is utterly unable to use players properly on offense. Baalke shares some of the blame but he can only work to acquire talent, he has no bearing on how the talent is actually used or not used.

Setting up a receiving corps of Vernon, Crabtree, Manningham, and Boldin is more than sufficient.

I'm talking about all players, overall he's done a good job with the draft, plus resigning key players. He's NOT the problem. Watch other teams around the league do more than the 49ers with less talent, it's coaching, plain and simple.

Jenkins was a bad pick, but Patton looks like he has some NFL game. Vance looks talented as well, even though he's not being utilized.
