For example Iupati had maybe the worse night out of everybody yet nobody noticed and he initially got a pass.
Good job on getting them to review Looney's performance. He got a bad rap right after the game and it was tough to keep the masses from turning on him.
We have a line that is very inconsistent. The only player who is consistent is Joe Staley. He's Mr. Solid. Although he can be bullrushed by strong players.
Iupati can be dominant one play, and horrible on the next. He is overrated. His lack of consistency is unacceptable for a Pro-Bowl lineman.
Kilgore is very quick and does an excellent job on the second level, but he cannot anchor very well (short arms?). He is sometimes on roller skates.
Looney has massive upper body strength, and can anchor pretty well, but he is kind of "meh" beyond that. Not very athletic.
Boone is an excellent player. I am not going to lie about him just because of his holdout. He is our second best lineman.
Davis is still young with potential. He has all the tools, he gets better all the time, and eventually (like I said when he was drafted) he might become our best lineman.
J Martin is not as bad as people say. He has quick feet, sound technique. However, like Kilgore, he plays like he is on roller skates at times.
I am still most concerned with our center position. I look forward to seeing what Marcus Martin can show in the next few weeks.
