You're such a rascal, Rascal!
Kryptonite-like locks: Boldin, Williams, Jenkins, Patton (Crabtree on IR, designated for return; Manningham possibly on PUP, but I hope not).
If Manningham starts the season, then Lockette (the darling of the Webzone and basically the big, black PJ Fleck), Moore, Hall, and Osgood are fighting for 1 spot with Special Team ability as possibly a tie breaking factor.
Just curious, what did the "We can give Patton more time" comment mean? WHERE exactly can the Niners give him more time? The practice squad? Another team will most likely claim him if he's cut.
Crazy talk Rascal...you wily rascal!

I predict one of those young recievers (Patton/Lockette) will get "injured" at some point and protected on the IR till next year,
Probably around the same time Mario comes back, and later in the season when Crabs comes back

marlon moore will make it,, he will be a demon on special teams, he will be a back up kick and punt returner, he will give us more in the wide out game than we ever had with ginn who was a true one trick pony. Now moore is actually out playing alot of people include jenkins now so you can laugh but you would be wise to not totally discount my theory that moore will make the team and be a impact player for us

I think Morre has a great shot at making it. I would love to see Lockette beat him out since he's a young, cheap asset with off the chart measurables, but Moore is a more refined WR and is a stud gunner. I think the team is hoping that the time Ricardo has put in with Kap will allow him to make a leap and take that final roster spot, but if he doesn't, Moore is a solid plan B.

No doubt Moore makes it, fantastic special teamer, and is making big plays as a WR, Harbs love him
Not only does he make it, I expect he will be active on game days

This makes this discussion even more complicated; well, at least for me
Vernon Davis continues to take reps with the wide receivers during 49ers camp.
Davis exclusively practiced with the wideouts at June minicamp. It wasn't a one-week experiment, as he's been splitting time between receiver and tight end over the past few days. With Michael Crabtree (Achilles') down, Davis' role in the passing game is going to increase. "I see a lot of improvement, in his ability as a football player, his route-running," coach Jim Harbaugh said. "He looks really good, in the prime of his career."
Davis will play all over the field and is a good bet to lead San Francisco in receiving this season.

Alright, relax. May be I wasn't that clear about the practice squad rules. I thought you could stash a player in the practice squad. I didn't know the players will have to clear waivers and go unclaimed first. My fault. If that is the case, of course Patton will be on the roster.
