Honestly I think the strongest link in that starting line up is Mark Roman.

I'll take your line-up and raise you:

CB: Sammy Davis
CB: Ramos McDonald
FS: Ronnie Heard
SS: Mike Adams
Nickel: Nate McMillan
But all seriousness, my gut tells me:

LCB: Carlos Rogers with Chris Culliver right behind him in case there's any slippage (age)
RCB: Tarell Brown (Lock)
FS: Eric Reid with CJ Spillman and, yes, Trenton Robinson with rotational snaps
SS: Donte Whitner (Lock)

NCB/DCB: Chris Culliver/Nmandi Asomugha/Carlos Rogers based on match-ups

Culliver
Brown (Slot)
Rogers (#4 WR)

This looks good too.

With the going perception that Nnamdi does not play well in the slot, why would you assume he will start in the nickel?

Most likely Nnamdi would line up at RCB, Culliver at LCB, Brown covers the slot in the nickel.

I can see this happening. I'm actually expecting Nnamdi to get back to his Raider form, surprise comeback player!

Fangio never puts Brown in the slot only Rogers....this confuses the hell outta me.

I don't get that either... it seems to me that Brown matches up the best on short, shifty WRs...
I personally believe we do not have a true slot or nickel corner.

Should be IMO:

Nnamdi
Reid
Whitner
Brown

Nnamdi can use his size to play press coverage on the #1 receivers.

Brown can go up against the #2 receivers ( for example, if we were to play Atlanta, Asomugha would be on Jones and Brown on Roddy White)

Carlos Rogers can play in the slot along with Culliver, both of whom can be moved to the outside. Overall, we have a versatile secondary...Nnamdi can guard tight ends and Rogers for the most part is a solid slot corner but sucks versus the premier slot receivers in this league.

By the end of the year, I expect the top 4 corners to be, in the following order:

Asomugha
Brown
Culliver
Rogers

Look for the former Raider to show that he still has it.
Only new starter will will be Dahl until Reid takes over by the bye week.

That is so true (bold), that's why it pisses me off when I see him in the slot. In the Super Bowl, Rogers should've been on Boldin not Culliver, Brown should've been on Torrey Smith too. If I were Fangio:

Rogers vs. Boldin

Brown vs. Smith

Culliver vs. Jacoby Jones

It will be overly dramatic and the WZ will react thusly....

Old Dad = Everyone else

Same as last yr., except Reid in Goldson out.

If I recall correctly, thats kind of how it went down.

Brown for the most part held his own against Smith. I believe Smith had under 30 yards for the game total.

Culliver was the one who as guarding Jones when Jones BURNED him over the top for that deep TD before the half. I am not sure how much Culliver played on Jacoby Jones throughout the game but he got burned on that play.

And I still have a vivid memory of Boldin out jumping Rogers on a 3rd down play late in the game..again, not sure how he did on Boldin for the majority of the game.

Its good to know that Boldin is now on our team because that guy is a handful to deal with, and then some. Asomugha should also help versus the more physical receivers in this league if he is allowed to play to his strengths, which is man and press coverage.

And a revamped pass rush should only help this secondary out even more.
