Kendall is probably the most important piece of our running back trio, IMO.

what makes you say that?

change of pace back. gashes through defenses almost every carry he gets.

Great outside runner, better than Gore and James IMO.

LaMichael might have more value as a dynamic receiver, but Hunter is the full package RB you need when it comes to a 1-2 punch. IMO.
Last year was Hunters second year and James first. Now Hunter is coming off of an injury, and James has added 10 lb. of muscle. It should be good competition. Right now I would say Hunter is still number 2 and James will pick up time on special teams. Don't be surprised if James closes the gap though.

That is true. He also has more strength and has the ability to break more tackles because of that. I see Hunter as more of a stronger James with less speed, but still shifty.

The nice thing about both Hunter and LMJ is that both are fast, which is an understatement.

I know that Old Man Frank still probably has a good amount of gas left in the tank, but lets be real...how many GREAT years do you think he has left in him?

I think 2013 will be his last year officially (retirement) especially if we win the big game. We will need Hunter and James' change of pace ability to the true Niner GOAT RB, Frank Gore.

I think Gore has 3 more years, dude has shown zero signs of slowing down. I expect this because I believe that Hunter/James/Dixon will get a lot more carries than last year, and then next year sub Lattimore for Dixon. Plus Kaep's downfield throwing ability will naturally lead us to pass more often than we did with Alex
He will be the John Taylor of the RB corps...

LMJ filled in nicely, but we missed Hunter. He's just way more polished in all aspects.
