Bangers and Mash
Have different connotations in San Francisco
Don't listen to Chazboner -- she was a debbie downer as a female, even worse after the sex change
Just take a cab from the Wharf to the Game
Oh, and don't drink warm beer at the 'Stick -- unless you like recycled beer
I volunteered at the stands maybe 6-8 times over the years for my daughter's school fundraisers. I'll never eat another garlic fry. The beer is crap but we always had people wiling to pay "$100" for one of them after the 3rd Quarter.
Bring a boota bag of good rum in your pants, mix it with the crappy diet coke in the stadium, and enjoy a nice rum and coke.
Have a great time.
Go Niners, don't start any fights, and root for Okoye

So now because it looks like i`m staying for a night or two,my wife has taked an interest in seeing the sights(she has zero interest in football). We are looking at staying in the fishermans wharf area-how easy is it to get to and from the stadium from this area?
thanks
mark
Very easy to get to from Fisherman's Wharf to Candlestick. Last time we got F car to Embarcadero then caught the T line Muni from there to Gilman/Paul where you can either catch a shuttle bus or walk to the stadium in about 10 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus (X8 I think) that takes from Fishermans Wharf.
Would recommend getting to the stadium early so you can sample the tailgating. Well worth and means you get to mix with other 9ers fans.
Wife and I are back out at the start of December and trip cannot come round quick enough.
