My whole life I have seen great players age and coach's out of the some wierd idea let them go bc of there age. I believe Jim knows his players enough that he will not release a player bc of age.... J. SMITH iS a high motor player... the day he retires is bc h is real with himself and can't play. But just like J. RICE who had heart and a high motor he will play better then most. Releasing Smith next years would be a huge mistake. He is a great player and mentor to our players. Jim knows this and this isn't the end for Justin. WHO CARES HE'S GETTING OLDER... HE CAN STILL PLAY... he can still play bc he says so and will... it's a choice.
I agree. I think the only way he's not with us next year is if he retires. He's still playing at a very high level, and has been an iron man. Last year's injury was more of the freak variety, rather than a sign his body is breaking down IMO. I think we re-sign him at the end of this year.
