WE SIGNED RAYMOND VENTRONE

Bubba Ventrone, who provided a spark to the 49ers special teams the last two seasons, will spend the upcoming season as the assistant special teams coach for the Patriots, New England announced today.

Ventrone, 32, got his NFL start with New England as an undrafted rookie in 2005. He bounced around the league from that point forth, often following special teams coordinator Brad Seely, whom the 49ers hired in 2011.
